Well I don't know jujitsu or muay thai, but I am a high brown belt in tae kwon do!

Just out of curiosity, the big rumor with Muay Thai is the repetitive kicking of very solid objects (rope-wrapped posts, cement, etc.) to strengthen the shins and legs. How true is this, or is it more movie-based BS? I know in BJJ we played Knock-Bone (take-down practice) on the concrete which hurt like a b#$%@, I couldn't imagine repetitively striking a post at full tilt. Ouch!

and for the question about conditioning our shins at our gym we kick a special bag full of sand.. it hurt like hell at first it felt like kicking a bag of bricks...i bled alot...haha
