Wireless internet in airports
For those interested, here is a site which lists what airports in the US have wireless and how much it costs.

MIA is not free.

I'm not sure ANYTHING in Miami is free, Ben...
Every motel/hotel I've stayed in over the past two years has had free internet, many of 'em wideband wireless, some ethernet, a few dial-up. I wonder if whatever internet access we will have at Loews will cost us...

Yeah, my cellphone and laptop talk to each other, and the cellphone can be used as a high-speed wireless modem (I've use it - works fine), but I'm not going to pay what it would cost, to use it for just a few days in Miami.

Now, I would like to leave my big 17" laptop at home and my broadband access card thing and take my grandmother's little laptop with me.
She (and my computer, just never used it or known about it) has a button that says WLAN and can turn it on or off. Is this what makes a computer able to pick up the internet for free, er, hotspots?
If I could take hers, and leave mine at home, it'd be not only nicer for travel but I could chat/share pictures with my husband while in Miami.

I'm assuming that since the hotel that we are staying at will have computers with internet access if anyone is having scionlife withdraws but I don't want to check e-mail or talk to anyone at home. THIS IS A VACATION
