Default $20,000 for wheels you can't even see?

At about $5,000 per wheel, Radurra offers clear wheels for your sexy brakes. They introduced the idea at last year's SEMA show in Vegas, and now have pics. I can't say the CLS pictured doesn't look amazing, but these wheels are extremely impractical. Even though they were designed to handle the heat, they certainly can't handle brake dust! IF I ever had the funds for a crazy show car, these wheels would be on my list of things to buy. If nothing else than to show off the brakes.

They come in 20" and 22" sizes.

What do you think???

They look great, but brakes have to breathe! That's a solid disc with no ventilation. Car shows only for that invention.

nolimitzinc made those stands for the hub for when you remove wheels @ car shows. I'd much rather do that and have my wheel next tot he wheel well than have clear wheels.

that's just me though.

Yea, while they might be cool... they're definitely for show use only. Could you imagine what a pothole would do to that? And cleaning them?

soo ur gonna have to take off each wheel each time you wash it then? cuz all the brake dust is gonna be building up on the inside of the clear part haha. this was meant strictly for show i think.

The rims are alright. I'm posting to address the comments made about keeping the rims clean from brake dust. One word, "ceramic". I switched to ceramic pads a few months ago and my front rims look like my rear rims even if I can't wash them for several weeks. The OEM pads had my front rims dark in two weeks and if I had to stretch they were almost charcoal in three. I have esentially no dust with the ceramics and it stops just as good if not better.

rich people need way to spend there money.. and wheels like this are something they can spend it on.. im not rich, but i deal with those types all day.. people have engines built for them where everything is polished even the block (aluminum).. it looks sweet. but after everything the complete engine runs about 27,000..

my personal opinion about the wheel.. i think it looks sweet. but not practical.. as someone said earlier.. brakes need to breathe.. gaps in between spokes does help ventilate rotors..
