Well - I just had the longest 15minutes of traffic I have ever had and ever wanted to have in the tC. To make a long story short .... I was running low on gas and had scionvip today .... I raced twice on the 1/8th track and then called it quits because of the small amount of gas I had left.

Leaving raceway park you hit inclines where someplaces do not have have shoulders on the side of the road ...and I had to get onto Rt9 before I could even get to the nearest gas station.

Between 2 trips to the gas station (1 trip to get gas ..to get me to the second station where I filled up at) - I saved both receipts and it came out to be a total of 13.581 gallons filled up. The one gas guy put 40cents of gas in even after it clicked off.


So ....here is what it looks like when you have less then a gallon of gas left in your tank:

 

oye i know that feeling.

i once lost an oil cap on rt9 and had to be towed back to Rockland county NY, about 80 miles on flatbed. the bill wasn't pretty.

doesn't a needle like that scare you?

 

Scared me because i was in track "let-out" traffic w/o anywhere to pull over to if i did run out. Then when I got to the end of that road I had to get onto a major road which I got up to 50 just so I could make sure I would get semi close to the station ...incase i ran out and was just gliding.

 

I onced had a long drive going to IL, I kept missing gas stations.. then I started going into a very empty highway it was like 130 am and started to snow, cellphone battery down I was like crap! then I saw a gas station sign on the otherside and was like crap I just missed the exit.. the gas light just came on but drove for awhile dang no exits all woods, im thinking if i could still make it to the gas station if I turn around or should i go straight till i find a gas station, oh well i turned around and gased about 14 ish gallons..

 

^ yea - exactly how I was feeling .... I said "oh boy" over and over. ha. If I could have shut my headlights off I would have .... I didn't want anything on at all. ha. For a few seconds I was even thinking about riding the oncomming traffic lane (realllll smart thinking there) to get to the station faster.
