Default ANTS IN MY CAR!!!! HELP (UPDATE)

so this started about two weeks ago, found a bunch of ants, im talking thousands living inside of the backseat belt clip, so i started a RAID and VACUUM war and thought i had it under control!

ive been seeing random single ants everynow and then thinking no biggie, but now i found what appears to be another nest in the trunk!!! AAAHHHHHH

WTF DO THEY WANT!!!!

so i need help on what to do to completely get rid of these ants, and anyone whos gone through the same problem, please chime in!

(ps, i dont eat in my car, i drink yes but never leave empty cans, and i regularly vacuum my car, especially after finding the first ones!!)

i was thinking of buying an anteater?

BUT SERIOUSLY HELP ME!!!!!!

here you go

On a serious note, I have no idea. I would contact an exterminator for one. Could it be where you park your car? Do you park it in the grass or anything?

they want to take over your mind!

im gonna apologize now, and i do realize it sucks, but this problem is kinda funny, lol.

you can get ant traps which have poison in them, so when they bring the poison back to the queen or whatever, she dies, and then they all die after they live their short little ant lives.

are they the tiny little black ants, like ____ ants? you might also have to bug bomb your car, but i dont know if that would mess up the interior or not...

I'm sorry, but this is pretty funny. I hope you can understand where we're coming from when we laugh.

Pull apart the hatch and keep using the vacuum. Remove as much as possible, only takes about 5-10 mins to get the entire trunk gutted (minus the side carpeting). Also, remove the back seats and see if they're in there also.

I'd stay away from using chemicals inside the vehicle.

Not sure if this would work, but try parking in direct sun with the windows rolled up on a hot day. If the car temp gets hot enough, that may kill them.

I had a friend who had ants in his car... not sure how they got in there, cause they need a queen or whatever and she didn't open your door. BUT, it could be possible if the car sat for a while, while the ants were moving their colony, that they found salvation in your ride, lol.

To get rid of them... suck them up and make sure you keep ALL food out of your car. Crumbs in the seats, cracks, everything. Don't give them any nourishment and they'll die off. Setting up some ant traps will also help kill them off quicker.

Oh man, strangler ants. You gotta watch out for those.

I'd just get a fogger bomb and set it off in the car. Granted, I'm not the smartest person in the world, but that's going to be your cheapest, easiest, quickest way of getting rid of them.

UPDATE!!!

so i declared war against these SOBs

went to home depot a did some shopping

bought

Odorless/stainless Raid (perfect for interior of a car)
Ant Killing Powder (nice flowery smell)
and Traps (pack of 4, the kind they walk into and never walk out!)
Ant killing gel (suppose to taste good and kills slowly, they supposedly take it back to the colony, and the rest is history!)

started by attacking the small nest in the trunk, raid-vacuum-raid-vacuum etc, etc

then vacuumed the whole car even parts in the engine bay! and also along the edges of the sunroof!

i then used some of the powder in the trunk and under the seats and the carpets (looks like i spilled crack! LOL)

then i placed dots of the gel all around the cracks and crevices of the car, mostly where i saw them! and also under the flaps of the sunroof!

took me about an hour and a half but i think i did some damage! ill report tomorow and see how it goes!

(i also made a circle of the powder around my car! LOL looks like some satanic ritual! LOL FOR MORE POWER, LOL JK)

STOP EATING IN YOUR CAR! Seriously. An ant colony will not move in until the "scouts" find a food source and report back. Then it's moving day. You obviously had food or soda in the car somewhere. Eliminate the food, kill and remove as many ants as you can and the rest will either die or leave. Good luck.
