Just curious if anyone got the PS3 tonight/today, I went to Walmart at 11:30 and they passed the tickets out at 11:45 but there were 14 people that had been there 35 hours, and they got them. Walmart had only 8 where I live.

 

im planning to just wait it out for a bit. i heard they have some bugs already. not to mention 600 is quite alot too. lol

Kind of interesting too that everyone that I talked to in line was planning on turning around and selling theirs, and they had a cop sitting outside the store, I suppose in case there was "an incident".

 

I know of 2 places near me where there are only like 5 people in line. One is a Target, the other is a Circuit CIty. I could probably get one in the morning, but I think I will wait it out a bit to make sure there aren;t any significant glitches like when the Xbox 360 first came out.

 

im getting 1. i had preordered it at gamestop on 10/10. waited 3 hours before the store opened and got the number one spot on the reserve list. im not keeping it tho. its just selling for way too much on ebay to not take advantage of it. realistically i can get over $3,000 for it. suhhhhweeeeeet.
its all going towards my car fund. once i hit 10 grand im getting either a BSP or FM tc. i still havent decided yet.

check on ebay right now. search "ps3". the price spiked like crazy since the release. im guessing since ppl realized that they couldnt get one by waiting they impulse buy online? ierno. better for me.

haha well those i dont know. ppl are just being idiots. if the seller is smart he'd remove those bids. someone actually bid 30,600 at one point but it got cancelled. i wonder if at the auction end the buyers actually have to pay that price? i mean it IS a contract, right?

No, those are separate. They're on the special edition PS3's, that came with 60 gigs, and are only sold in select areas...We werent one of em.

 

I agree and wonder the same exact thing...and the funny thing is: don't companies usually limit production of something when it first comes out because the want to see how it does in production until they get all the bugs out? look at the xbox 360...no one cares tho...

 

no the ? should be, who has one and is keeping it? i have 5 friends that stood in line for 3 days to get the damn thing, just to sell it. and they expect to get $3000 for them. yea for 20gig noooo way. and they dont understand these things are worth a lot BEFORE THEY ARE RELEASED. now there are 400000000000 ps3's on ebay. sometimes i hate my friends. /rant sorry lol.

but i got suckered into camping out last night/ this morning with my friends for Wii. i must say it was an experience. made some new friends too haha.
