Yeah, the 848 is about as good as the 1098, but about 4k cheaper and it's lighter too.

i have a 91 gsxr 1100 with 6k on the odo super clean and i love it mine is dropped and stretched air shift, shiftlight 4 k&n airfilters (its carbed) imo i like carbed bikes becouse at lights the chatter and make a very unique sound i love it

Not to flame or anything guys but can we keep the selling in your pm inboxs? I started this thread cuz I was hoping for some answers to basic questions so I could get into street bikes and stuff....not so people could sell bikes and watnot. I see that there's some new replies and I'm like "sweeet", then I come to find a conversation between two people over a bike, a steering wheel, and cargo mat...

...oh and thanks for the suggestions for different bikes, but for the 1000'ers, I'm definitely sticking with a 600 as a first bike lol. I'm kinda down to Ninja ZX-6R, CBR 600RR, or GSX-R 600........
