Anyone see this?
Anyone read this before? I found it on complaints.com. Anyone know who this is? This made me mad!

I took my 2004 xb Scion in for an oil change and alignment and to double check on work they did previously because of a disturbing rattle. I was sick with the flu and asked they lock my car and put it someplace safe until I return in the morning.
Upon my arrival they returned the car trashed inside with all my stereo equipment stolen, wires cut, approx $1000. They pointed to a sign that says "Not responsible for theft".
I had a police report and insurance adjuster come to the sight. Each conceded this was an 'inside' job and took fingerprints etc. Yet still the dealership will not budge on responsibility.
What is strange, their security area has 25-30 cars and yet mine was singled out. There was no break-in or jimmy marks, either a key was used or it was left unlock purposely.
This dealership has failed miserably in customer service. The people of Austin need to know they put the customer last and their car is not safe if left on the premises. Ethics are definitely lacking here and I will continue to make it known until I receive word of good intention on my behalf.

I hate going to the dealership. I never ever fully trust those guys. One time I caught a mechanic leaning on my side-view mirror while my car was in the service line, I was like "excuse me, that's my car you're leaning on. It's not a pillow!" They just don't care man. They are just there to get payed and go home. If you car gets damaged in the process, it's no loss to them. And the managers at the dealership (i swea) seems like they've been trained on how to properly and efficiently give you the run-around. And Yes!, the "not responsible for property sign" is like a free get-away i'm going to jack your ride disclaimer!
now wait. dealerships can do excellent work. i will personally vouch for leith toyota/scion in Raleigh, NC. that is the best service department i've ever been to. they are very thorough and do a fine job. i've had a couple of incidents where my tC was having issues and they took care of it. and they shuttled me to and from work. if the car had to stay for more than a day, they paid for a rental. that dealership just sounds bad.
it really boils down to the people that work in the places. i would argue that any mechanic could steal you're crap out of your car. I say the lady has a case and SHOULD take those guys to court. these guys saw her as an easy mark and took advantage of the situation. (only thieves see people as marks.)
but to say that a dealership is out to steal from you automatically, that's just wrong. They do charge more, but their people are more qualified(typically) to work on you're car. plus they use OEM parts, which always cost more. I've priced my bills online for fixing/replacing axles and bearings, and replacing the motors for the sunroof. I've never seen a price discrepancy when pricing OEM parts. and their labor rates are right at $65-$80 depending on who has to look at it. Just an average tech is 65. A master mechanic is more, obviously.

There's a contradiction of terms.....
Hard working/ethical ...... and Dealership
Money talks in this scenario. That's the problem. I would take my car, if ever needed for major repair, to a well known shop rather than the dealer. The Firestone shops around my area are good and I know a lot of the guys that work there.
***TIP: Get in good with the Service Managers and your car will be treated quite well.

Happened to an old friend with an integra. Tokk it to a dealer where knew some guys and someone stole the valve cover off the engine(B18 GSR) and the stereo and other bits and peices he put in. So yeah, inside job and is exactly the reason NO Toyota dealer will touch my xB! I swear car dealers are owned by the mafia. Reverse the situation on the dealer and I guarantee they'll comply.
