Assistance needed to get more fuel in engine
Ok, got my 97 tacoma 4x4 extra cab with v6, autotranny and all trd upgrades including the supercharger on the dyno. I only managed 167hp 208 torque at 3500rpms. After that it leans out to 17-1 and falls flat on its face. I asked them to be careful and limit speed to 75 for the sake of the tires and rpms to 5500. Man that supercharger whines.
Here is my pull http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vleov8Vzx2M
The shop refused to talk about upgrades and told me to take it to the dealer and said something is wrong, either the fuel presure is too low or something. Ive already taken it to the dealer, they swear its been flashed as it wont run with the supercharger at all and refused to take the pressure reading.
They did an induction servicing and a seat of pants dyno and said its fine. I know a few after market companies offer a 7th injector upgrade and some a full kit with high volume pump and piggy back computer. So leaning out is an issue. The later models came with the 7th injector to solve this issue.
Anyway, those kits are a thousand dollars and I want either a cheap fix or a stealthly one. I was wondering if injectors are universal in sidz, meaning I can buy larger or higher flow ones and install them in place of the stock ones? The computer will still meter it as needed reguardless of size, right ? Can I buy too big of an injector or one thathas too much flow?
If the computer will regulate the injectors based on the oxygen sensor, then maybe I can get a nos fuel fogger to put on the intake and tap the pressure released/tester port for fuel and have it triggered for rpms or vacuum or wot?
Thanks for the feed back.

you can't just put bigger injectors in there, you need to tune it because the ecu assumes it is working with the preprogrammed injector size.
as for problems with the fuel system, the system could be clogged up in the hoses, injectors and under wot at higer rpms it can't keep up, maybe the fuel pump is dying, or the fuel filter is clogged up.
putting in larger injectors without the ecu being tuned will cause the car to run rich and probably die at idle since it will flood the engine with too much fuel.
before you can really start coming up with solutions, you really need to find out where the problem is in the fuel system.

I am going to see if I can borow or use a fuel pressure meter and change the filter. Considering leaning is normal for the pre y2k tacomas, its not technically a problem, its something Id like to address.
I asked the dyno guy, he said the computer can not be tuned.
My thinking was to try a wet upgrade to a nos kit like http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...?idproduct=191 and a one stage rpm window timer http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...?idproduct=288 so it turns on at 3500 rpms or so.

Heres the plan, downgrade smaller pulley to larger, replace fuel filter, upgrade fuel pump, test/disassemble pressure regulator.
