Just learned yesterday that all that he has broken is his thumb, unfortunately most of his injuries are all a form of head trauma. He is speaking some, but has a trake (sp?) so it is very hard to speak. They will be transporting him to Boise, ID in the next week hopefully to a rehabilitation center near their home.

I will update you all whenever I can!

That's GREAT! One step at a time, he'll get there. I was in inpatient rehab for three months and outpatient rehab for two. They told me I'd never walk without a cane, I proved them wrong. It's a lot of hard work but it sounds like he's making good progress. He's a soldier, I have no doubt that he'll be back in his car showing off that turbo in no time.

Still in the prayers.

Thanks again everyone for all of your support, prayers, and donations. I can't wait to let the Allen's know the support of the Scion Community is behind them and their son. Shane's car is hitting the dyno today...we're hoping to send him a video of it being dyno'ed, racing around the streets, etc and boost his spirits! (no pun intended ;))

I will keep everyone posted as more updates become available!

Man this hits home. A couple months ago a friend of mine parked his truck in front of a train. He wound up physically fine, just a couple scrapes on a knuckle, but was in a coma for many weeks. Honestly it sounds almost identical to this situation. He thankfully is walking now, with a walker, speaking a little, but just isn't quite all there at this time. It has been a tough time and I hope for the best for Shane. It is a long road to recovery from this kind of thing.

Yes! Finally an update!!!!!!!!

You guys are going to love this, I just received a phone call this morning from Shane Allen!!

He has been home for 3 weeks now, is still doing 3 days of therapy, but is alive and well! He called this morning to see how much horsepower his car had and what exactly was done to it! Kenny will obviously be calling him back Monday to give him all the details.

Just thought all of you who were praying for him would like to know how he's doing.

Vito.. the last I knew..the money we donated, went for paying for the families hotel and other living expenses while Shane was in the hospital for months and they were 1000 miles away from home...

yea for real...i donated $50...its sad that I gotta second guess whether or not the crooks over at zpi actually did the right thing with the money and it actually went to this poor kid and not to fund one of the shop cars
Like you said paul, I just hope everything is ok with Shane
