Black people calling eachother "N"'s every second of the day, and for some odd reason it isn't considered a racist remark.
It's all in how it's meant. If it's said to hurt someone, than it's wrong. If it's said in a friendly way between two black people who are joking around with each other, than I don't have a problem with it. It's kinda like when I'm hangin' out with a buddy and he does something stupid. I can call him a dumb@ss and he knows how I meant it. If I would say that to a stranger, it's a totally different context.
EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

perfect example [/b]

I dont agree saying its only friendly or right if its between 2 black people. Like I said before, Im a white guy and me and my black friends joke using the "N" word with an "A" at the end. You just have to be comfortable with the other person.

Yeah, I guess if you know them well enough and they know how you mean it. As long as they aren't offended by it...that's the important thing. I have black friends, but I wouldn't use that word even kidding around. Mostly because they never use it either. It's a line I personally wouldn't cross.

Bottom line, it's racist or it's not. It's the same word. Slave owners back in the day said it with an A too.

So if I was to greet a person who is asian and I had "Sup chinky?!" would that be bad?

Or if a white guy was called cracka instead of cracker...

He then said he would have his parents file a complaint against me for this.

wow!!!
well i disagree wit the kid. im black to and i refuse to say it with the ER. to me, ending in A and ER are to whole different perspectives.

sorry bout the complaint. in all honesty, nothin should happen as what u said is not bad at all. u jus made a point/stated ur opinion.
but in the world we live in today, comments like that can get thrown completely out of porportion.
so g'luck wit that
Yeah, I won't really be having any trouble with it. I don't sweat that for the most part. What I said was more along the lines of how well it goes over for the kid explaining to his parents that he has no problem calling people the N word.

The "N" word and dumbass are two completely different things. Dumbass wasn't used to "define" and demoralize an entire race of people for hundreds of years.

True, which is why I also said I never use the word myself. I'm not black. But if a black person wants to use it, who am I to say they shouldn't? BTW, the black girl on here agreed with me.
