Default Banning Street Racers From SL

So over at the Imports NC forum, someone started a thread talking about banning members who discussed/advocated street racing on the forums. Anyone who talked about a race the night before, or was asking for a race may end up being banned. Those who have talked about it before won't be hunted down, but possibly anyone from here on out will be given the boot. Part of the discussion is on whether it be a permanent ban or for a specified amount of time. The thread is getting hot too, it started at 1:16 pm and it's 8:53 now and there are 6 pages.

What do you guys think about doing something like this on SL?

Honestly. People who brag or talk about street racing, gets bombed by the forum members anyways. And if they do it's their fault. There's no need to ban. I know there are cops that go on forums just go look at these things. There's no need to ban, but lets keep this topic off. These people eventually get what's coming if they talk about it openly online. Since it's already started somewhere else. And it's generally two or three people at it in the same thread. Soooo....yeaah I think this is a waste of space.

Has been discussed in the past. Will not happen. End of story.

But you'd think for the flaming that most people get, they wouldn't bother anyway.

then let the dictator take care of it. I don't see a need to try to convince the mods to do something.

Yeah but you gotta remember most cops' "guilty by association" mindset. 10-20 people or maybe more get on here and talk about street racing and immediately we're all tied to it. It would be a step in the direction of getting rid of that Fast and Furious view that the general public has of people with flashy, modified cars. Most people don't understand that it's just a movie, and most media coverage of street racing busts blow the whole tuner/import scene WAY out of proportion.

Ok. Well...I can't read EvErY single thread on this site so I wouldn't know that it's been discussed before.

No need for all this "oh way to bring up a subject from such-and-such years ago" bull crap every time someone reposts something. Not every user has been a member the entire time the site has existed, so we don't know when certain topics have been discussed or a certain picture was posted, etc etc. That really bothers me the amount of flaming that people get for an accidental repost.

I'm letting you know that it's been discussed and to continue this thread much further would be a futile effort.

If you want me to flame you, I can... just let me know.

To me this idea is like banning people for talking about running with scissors.. asinine. Let's pick other issues to be against, like hypocrites who pick issues to be against to have something to talk about.

Puh-leeeeeeeez! Go out and drive, but not fast and don't come back here to talk about it.

it's people like you that want to enforce restrictions on everything, when a law is allready in place, wich is why they call it breaking the law. man up and quit feeding off the tit, how about enforcing you to get a job be a man and move out of your moms house, and yes i support street racing when thier is no track in your county actualy ill encuarage it.

Ok that's fine but why condemn it so harshly?

And your second line might as well be considered flaming...really.

i dont think people should be banned, they can talk about what they want. It seems like most times now when someone is talking about street racing most members will make fun of or shun them.

My second line was talking about the people who post about street racing and how they are typically flamed when they post.

I condemned it b/c this thread is ALREADY going exactly where I thought it would go... right in the toilet.
