The day after Thanksgiving, the really big shopping day. It got its name because it is when a lot of businesses come into the black and out of the red. (Make money as opposed to not)

 

oh duh lol makes sense, i always work that day anyway so thats why i never notice lol

 

I worked Circuit City for almost 11 years and went through 10 black fridays. it always amazed me how crazy people become on that day. you would see people pushing others out of the way to get to some item. there were some instances of people taking a product out of another persons cart. my last year saw a fist fight between 2 people because someone butted in line. I'm so glad I don't work retail anymore. I can sleep in on friday!!!!!

 

I hate the whole black freakin' weekend! Need some good advice? STAY HOME!!!

There aren't too many black friday deals on guam, it is mostly japanese tourists, and the only major store here is Kmart. but the exchange (military) where i work is gonna have a hell of a deal on ipods. thats what i'm lookin forward to. that and the portable DVD player... unfortuantely i won't be able to get one, cuz i don't care that much to wake up at O dark thirty to stand in line until the store opens.
