It depends. My station isn't really a news station- so unless it is commercial related or we are making money off of it there isn't a chance really. I saw the thread about the Carribean grand opening thing- that has potential, being that it is based around a commerical for a client.

If the group wanted to get together and sponsor an event that we cover (like daffodil parade, or sponsor one of our locally created shows like Movies on the Run on Sunday afternoons) - there is another opportunity to get coverage. (however, this is not cheap)

One other way I can think of to get on is having our host of the Movies on the Run show, Chris Cashman, use you guys as the basis of one of his Movies on the Run shows. For example- for the Movie last weekend, 8 Millimeter- he did his show from the Underground Tour in Pioneer Square. Kinda neat. Maybe if we have a movie about cars or whatever coming up- he can base his segements of the show around a club meeting or something like that. I don't know the movie list of the top of my head- but I can check it out at work tomorrow-

I am the manager of a pizzeria its treated me well these last 5 years (managing for three)...steady job, steady pay, free cell phone etc....this last week was so horribly slow though. Thankfully I've got a laptop and watched movies on the slow nights.

I feel so special, I tied the vote, wha woo, I work at Lowe's in customer service, and for fun I roll around in my office chair. but at least I get to answer the phones and press alot of lighted buttons, and say "thank you for calling Lowe's of Nampa, we install and deliver, this is Sam, how may I direct your call?" and sometimes just for fun I do it in a funny accent. that really screws people up!

I am an admin assistant for a transportation engineering firm. My job consists of typical clerical duties such as answering the phones, filing, making copies. But i also type reports, progress reports for invoices, memos, etc! They also let me plan the events for the company which is great because i start school next month to get a certificate in Event Planning. Hoping someday I will move to LA and plan big over the top events for celebrities or rich people! :-) My company is also going to pay half of my tuitiion for any classes that relate to what i do here at work!

I work for a big healthcare/hospital chain we have been in the news lately for information being stolen. My job consists of converting liquid oxygen to gas for portable cylinders, pretty easy, and free health insurance for me and the wifey.
