Wasn't quite sure where to put this, hopefully this does the trick. Anyway, I'm 17 years old therefore I don't have my own credit card. I really don't like asking mom and pop to borrow theirs unless its once in a while (which it hasn't since I got my car, plus they're putting a bathroom in the house so they want as little expenses on the cards as possible). Long story short, I want to buy a set of Hotchkis Springs from TRD Sparks. Now I have the money in my room so that's no problem. Problem is getting the money to them. I was hoping that I could buy a Visa gift card and use that for online purchases but I'm not sure it will work. I know at my job the Gift Cards are accept but would sparks accept it? I don't want to put the money on the card and try since if it doesn't work it'd be a waste of 180 bucks. Anyone know/ bought anything off the internet with a gift card?

 

do you have a debit card just put that money into the bank and use your debit card instead

 

You could go to the post office and get a money order....they always work.

 

visa gift cards are accepted anywhere you see the visa logo, it's ran just like a regular credit card.

 

I tried to put my Visa GC into paypal and it wouldn't accept it...

Oh, and you parents can get you a credit card. All they have to do is sign you up as another account user and you'll get a card with your name on it, the bill will just come to your parents as if they were using their own card. I think they can see what was purchased n which card though. I'm not sure all companies let you do it but I know Citi does. I had a regular credit card with my name on it when I was like 16 using that method, I used it for gas and other little things. I don't like debit cards because if they get stolen your screwed so I pretty much never used mine.

Why not just give them a call or send an E-mail. I would think they would take a money order---they cost less than a dollar and you can get them at the Post Office or most grocery stores. I would advise getting a checking account if you do not already have one. Most banks have free accounts for students. Then you can get the debit card.
