motozen, sorry to see ya go. You had one real nice ride there; did it stay "local", or is there one less blown tc for us to "play with" around here?
enjoyed talking with ya; the "owners nite" won't be the same next time....

Damn haters, good luck with moving on to a better vehicle that suits your needs!

first we had the famous "Si vs TC" thread.... now it's becoming the " peeps vs Tahoe" thread....
yes the suv sucks more regular, but running premium in a blown TC( 3.12 +/- locally ) isn't exactly that cheap either.... it's costing us the same to fill up her TC and my Vue...
motozen, you gotta do what ya gotta do... enjoy...

kids... Shows what you know. I hope my 2 sons don't grow up being as dumb. I will be using E85. $2.29 a gallon and more performance. Go educate yourself. better for enviroment, no batteries to figure out how to dispose of, and it helps the american farmer. No dependence on Canadian and overseas oil.

tC took 92+ octane. You do the math.
Actually E85 is a huge scam. It may be slightly cheaper but you also get less gas mileage. In 2 years E85 will be forgotten and you'll be stuck with that rediculous pile of junk that costs you $100 a week to fill up. Good luck with that.

Oh and FYI. My wife has a 2005 Tahoe and I can't stand that thing.
LMAOROTF. I am gonna miss peeps like this lol!

ummmm tell the E100 users in south america what you just said hahahahaha
E85 is the future. You are so wrong. There is a new Ethanol plant starting production from corn and soybean in Monroe WI. It is less then 1.25 a gallon there. E85 is going to get cheaper and cheaper while everything else gets ridiculous. You only lose about 2-5 mpg with E85... that is BEFORE you hook up a hypertech and change a few things... Then you get awesome mpg on either 87 or E85.

Man, people need to think before they speak Heck, I am not complaining... I bought in at $52 a barrel.

my theory is that the oil companies are making the last squeeze of profit so that they don't go belly up when they have to switch everything to hydrogen, E85, biodiesel, electric, and etc. I think they are gaining enough revenue so that they can dominate the market when that time comes.... Just a thought....

buy oil stock!!!!!! I predict it will be over $100 a barrel within 2 years. I will double my money.

To the wannabe environmentalist greenies with no clue about the real science and numbers behind global warming, it is worth it to me to own an SUV JUST TO ____ YOU OFF If you think the extra 10mpg is the saving factor, you are missing some thought process there. If you own a car, YOU ARE CONTRIBUTING to the problem. So stop with trying to sit on your 30mpg high horse to everyone else. You are no better in the end. Especially when you buy that car and then start slapping on intakes, exhaust and any other non-carb legal part you can find to make it faster.

i have to agree with this, i just did a huge research paper on this, big oil has the resources to make new refineries, which would ease some of the pain, however its really the consumers fault this situation is happening, we have known this to be a potential problem since the 70's even earlier, however to reduce the cost at the pump 50 cents nationally we would have to cut back consumption 20-30% for 2-3 years to get the the price and the demand low enough. Since that is not going to happen, the only alternative is to remove some of the taxes that have been added to the cost of a gallon of gas by 50%, that will drop the cost somwhat, however then the infrasturucture of the nation would deteriorate. So really in therory were screwed either way for the time being, and driving a hybrid, or high milage car really will not do anything unless its mandatory and the practice is accross the board, not 20% of the population...

Those tahoes and other suvs are deathtraps. Not necessarily for the people in the suv, but for everyone else on the road whose driving a normal size car. Could you all imagine getting into a head on collision with an suv like a tahoe or yukon in our little tC's with tein s-techs? We are going to have a permanent impression for a chevy bumber right in our faces.

Those suvs should be outlawed. I used to say for that reason and the gas issue. I am in the tri-state area where e85 isnt available, so I'll continue with that as a primary reason for hating suvs, but wherever you are, hopeful the gas issue won't be one at all for you. But they are really dangerous. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I got into a little fender bender and killed some little 17 year old kid who can't afford anything more than a little 2 door hyundai accent when my fender gets bend on his face after it goes through his windwhield. Nuf said.

And reliability on those cars are just amazing poor. Please, for the love of God, open a consumer reports magazine! I don't see how anyone could leave a japanese car for an american car - and I'M AN AMERICAN! If I wanted an suv, which I made abundantely clear that I don't, I would stick with the japanese cars...they just know how to make em! bottom-line!

actually statisically you are more likey to die in a single car accident in an SUV rollover then a actual multiple impact situation.

however the governement has noticed that to be a problem, and their solution is to lower the actual impact area, the bumper, so the car does not go under the vehicle.
