Default Bye Bye TC ~ Hello MazdaSpeed 3

Hey guys, just thought I would post some pics of my new baby. I picked it up yesterday. Its a 2007 Cosmic Blue MazdaSpeed 3 Grand Touring. It's actually a demo car that has 10K miles on it, so I got a pretty good deal on it. I traded in my 2005 Scion TC.

I don't think it went to shows. I was told the General Manager of the dealership was using it.

Im not knocking this guy but I wonder if Turbocharging a TC would bring it up to par with this Mazdaspeed 3? for less of course. Any input??

263 hp stock. Na it wouldnt match up after the MS3 gets some mods. Plus the MS3 has a better chassis than the tC.

If markups out here in hawaii wernt so severe, i would look at one

Nice ride man. How roomy is it? Would a 6'4" guy fit comfortably with room to shift?

I'm only 5'7 so I can't give a definite answer. There is certainly plenty of headroom since there is no sunroof option. The steering wheel both tilts and telescopes. But the seats do have large side bolsters, so they be tight if you're on the husky side.

Here is the link to the Mazda3/MazdaSpeed3/Axela Forums. If you are really considering one, this would be the best place to do some preliminary research. And I'm sure that much like Scionlife, there will be threads in the mazda forum talking about where people are buying their upgrades.

One of the reasons I traded in my Mazda3 for the xB was the lack of help from the Mazda3 Forums.
But the Mazdaspeed 3 definetly kicks the tC's butt

Yeah, I just joined it yesterday. So I haven't really explored it much. It does appear to be less organized than this forum

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not much into racing or aggressive driving. I am able to go into corners much faster than in the TC and the car feels much more stable and stays flatter. Taking those long clover leaf exits merging onto or off highways is a blast.

Prob stock. If my tC can keep up with a porsche on turns then our cars are great with suspension work

Or maybe the porsche driver is not as crazy as me
