^^ damn... same here. lol. I recognize some of it, but to all of those that know Japanese knows that one single stroke can change the entire meaning.

If your cousin doesnt get back to ya, lemme know. I've got a good friend of mine that still lives there close to Tokyo.

you are absolutely correct. but it doesn't hurt to go ahead and ask him. btw, my cousin (masa goto) travels back and forth from hiroshima-ken (my hometown) to tokyo all the time for his job. he's an architecht. this means he makes more money than me. and he drives a porsche, not a scion or toyota. and he has me buying parts here in the states to send to him for the porsche that are unavailable in japan. fml. lol.

http://www.hcracing.cn/cn/index.asp

^Here's the company's official website. it is the name of a company, just not a company in Japan.

but a company in Taiwan. my cousin said that it translates to rainbow commander sky power factory in Japanese. lol.

In Taiwan, I'm going to guess that it means Motor Model Refit, just judged based off setting the website to english and reading the top.

What's the application? S13? You can type in hc racing into google and try to find it that way. maybe, idk... i'd imagine, price wise, it would be the same as a hood that you could purchase here...

Why don't you call them and ask! lmao.

No, it's the Japanese translation. No doubt about it. My cousin was born and raised in Japan. 100% full blooded Japanese. Never stepped foot out of Japan. Never studied Chinese. I wonder if the Chinese and Japanese translations may be the same in this case?

looks way more chinese than it does japanese. if it was japanese, it'd read "kou-shou-kuu-ryoku-gi-ken". yeah... no clue wtf that means.

nah, thats what it means in japanese too, if you read each character individually.

and i tried googling the chinese characters, but the hc racing website mentioned before came up but i see no hoods for any nissan's.
weird that no one seems to know on the identify this thread on zilvia either. maybe you got a super rare china-made probably-a-replica hood.....

ps: googling "rainbow commander hood" doesn't work either. i tried.

after doing a little more googling, it appears that HC in HC Racing stands for Hang Chiang. And Hang Chiang (China) seems to be the sister company of ABS Dynamics (USA).

Havent been able to find any pictures to compare to my hood yet though.

Wait, where did you put together that Hang Chiang and HC Racing were the same company? I looked in the links you posted, but I didn't see it. Maybe I'm blind. But the contact info on HC's home page says Taiwan... strange... something seems fishy about this company already and i don't like it. lol.
