As far as I can tell, the cover of U.S. News that malepregnancy.com displays on their website is an artist's rendering. When you click on the picture, instead of taking you to a news article about the pregnancy, it simply enlarges the picture of the "cover" of the magazine the article supposedly appeared in. If you look at the enlarged photograph of this cover, there is no publication date displayed on the image of the cover.

Additionally, if you visit the U.S. News website, their search engine yields no results for "male pregnancy" (other than a google link to the phony malepregnancy.com website), "RYT Hopsital," or "Dwayne Medical Center."

Dude, I saw this so many years ago. It's totally fake. You can easily grab the US News masthead and photoshop that on a picture of your liking.

Plus if this was actually true, there would be a whole lot more commotion about this.

It always pops up now and again so its understandable that those who haven't seen it before think its new and true.

Gullible people make me laugh.

What the heck is that supposed to mean?

I don't know if I should be offended or not, so I'll just leave it at that.

LOL....

When an outrageous news story pops up, I don't usually take it for face value....

And I'm pretty bored. I was supposed to go to an Rx Bandits show with my boyfriend and sister tonight, but I got sick....so I'm just sitting at home with nothing to do on the first night of spring break.

A) Its fake, been on the web for many years

B) I am studying to be a doc and its not impossible to say, but there would be so many problems with the unborn child and the carrier.....there is a reason why females give birth to children, their hips are larger so the baby can travel out, etc.

You people have got this whole thing mixed up. The malepregnancy.com site is a hoax which has been around since 1999! Geeze, I can't believe some people have not seen this before. I was a kid when I first saw malepregnancy.com, and at that time it used exactly the same person and exactly the same images as it still has 9 years later. This was confirmed to be a hoax in like 2000 or 2001. Get with the times.

Anyway, to all you people who "just saw it on the news" - that was a completely different story. The OP clearly just went looking for the first result for "male pregnancy" and posted up this site. The real story from this week's news is about a transgendered "man" who really is pregnant. The person was born female and has all the parts of a female, but made the conscious decision later in life to become a man by changing his/her appearance. This is not really a ground-breaking development. A woman just took some hormones to grow facial hair and shrink her breasts, and now she happens to be pregnant. Nothing shocking about that. (S)he got pregnant because his wife is unable to get pregnant and the couple still wanted to have a child.

See, now that makes sense!

I actually did hear about this story.

And the funny thing is, I'd just been discussing something similar to that with my friend (who is a female to male transgendered person) before I heard about that guy's story.
