The pricing on the iphone is pretty ridiculous. And expect all software and apps to be proprietary. I wouldn't be surprised if they disabled java just so you couldn't get free software.

yeah i wouldnt get the iphone. i'm not gonna pay that much for a phone. i dont care wtf it does lol.
i'm still deciding on which one....i have to pick one by the end of the week though because i'm getting a simple phone for the BF as well and i need to get it to him asap.
i really want the blackjack or the pearl, i'm just concerned about the $40 a month for internet access. i think thats pretty ridiculous. the Sync and the Nokia have a media package for online use that is $20 a month and its unlimited access (you can watch streaming video of shows like sopranos etc, i dont think you can do that on the pearl). idk about the ericcson but its more of an ipod than a phone and i already have an ipod.....ughh this is a hard decision.
i'm not sure how well the blackjack works but it has a full qwerty keyboard that i like and i dont really like the weird track ball and semi qwerty keyboard it has...it seems like itd be hard to master that when you are so used to a regular qwerty. i guess it just comes down to what i'm willing to spend and what is really worth my money.
has anyone with a pearl encountered sound issues, like do ring tones sound muffled? i've heard that from a friend who has one.
the blackjack is the most expensive and idk from the reviews that i'm hearing that its the greatest phone. i heard the memory kinda sucks. i also was considering a Treo 680 but they dont include a camera so that makes me disinterested.
the sync comes with a year subscription to Napster and i think the package includes a certain amount of free songs as well. i'm leaning towards the Sync or the BB i think.
