Default Cell phones suck.

Well I woke up this morning and couldn't find my phone. I looked around and I finally found it...

...submerged about 3/4 into sprite. Luckily I have water damage insurance .

reminds me of a girl i'm dating. she has sent three phones into a watery grave via getting spooked and then fumbling the phone into a cup of bacardi and coke.

As someone who hasn't any water damage insurance, I can tell you that the chances are good that your phone can be dried out and back in working order.

But using the insurance is probably the easiest way, lol.

Just make sure you dry it really good. pcbs tend to rust a lot.

stop dropping them of hitting things against them.

the more stuff goes into a phone aka comp boards , hard drives , chip memory all that jazz the more they have to take out "un needed" space so as to make it as slim as possible. which also means the screen itself will be closer to the outside making it more prone to breakage.

I tried...After drying it off I managed to get it powered up partially. It would try to turn on and just constantly vibrate, then the battery completely died. I plugged it into the charger and it just started to spaz out and wouldn't stop vibrating lol. Then the front screen came on and said "Charge Complete" and kept vibrating, and the battery wasn't even installed. Anyway, now it doesn't do anything unless I plug it into the charger, then all the LED's just try to flash on a few times and it STILL vibrates .Oh well, I only have to survive about 5 days without a phone .

ur never supposed to turn it on until it is **completely** dry. if u turned it on u most likely fried it. thats why its going crazy. ur insurance should have overnighted the phone... they did that for me when i accidently ran the phone over with the car after a game of bball. they just told me to send the old phone back in all its many pieces. btw it was verizons insurance plan.

That's why I use the standard: "I was out fishing with some friends, and dropped it in the ocean."

If I was aware of it moving towards the cup...I don't think I would have let it fall in .
