Never thought of it. I dont do art with a computer though. Ever since the early days of the public use of photoshop I had my mind set that using a computer to make art is borderline cheating or something.

i know alot of "traditional" artists that have very similar views as you but its simply a different medium to work on that uses different tools. you use a canvas and paint brush. i use pixels and a mouse.

I hear that response a lot. All I have to say, is a canvas doesnt have an undo button.

i agree. but cell-shading isnt easy.

 

Oh yeah, I know its hard work. I totally respect it, just not my cup of tea. Have you ever tried cel shading something other than cars though?

Maybe you need a non-car project to entertain yourself? something random?

hmm thats possible. i dont think i have any classics. im thinking about doing one of the transformers as a huge project.

 

You could re-do some of the movie transformers and make them into the vehicles they SHOULD'VE been.

 

An mid-late 80's era Toyota MR2, specifically.
Also, a early-mid 80's Nissan 300ZX (Z31).
I mean, there are probably fifty different cars I'd love to see cell'ed, but these are just two I'd like specifically.
