I have ~2000 CDs and I only keep a 20GB iPod in my car at any given time.
I use shuffle and have some "mood" playlists.
I work in the music business, so it's my work too

But to tell people they "don't need" xGB of music is BS.
If you don't need/want that, then fine. I happen to want a lot of music for various reasons with me.

There are plenty of other non-iPod music players, but in reality, the iPod line is the Lexus of the group.

As for the iPod integration being "corporate" let me ask you something. Pretend you run Toyota. Apple has sold roughly 40-million iPods. Nobody else comes close. Who's portable music player would you integrate into your line?
Exactly.
For the rest of you, they added a nice AUX jack.

I don't listen to one song, I listen to whole albums. All my mp3's are meticulously ordered and cataloged by artist, album, and track number. I'm really **** about it. Plus its a crapload easier to keep your eye on the road and scroll through an ipod than to haul a 10-15 pound binder from behind the driver seat and flip through it in your lap and stick a cd in the narrow slot.

And I got my car set up for the ipod, cuz I know I was going to get one eventually and wanted to be prepared for it. Gotta plan ahead.

And like I said before, I hate going back and wiping things out and then recopying files that I think I want to listen to for the whole day. My tastes are very fickle and I know that once I don't have an album available, that's when I'll want to listen to it. So having the most available at my fingertips is very important to me.

And I like to take road trips too, so yeah, I will drive long enough to listen to all of it. Granted not ALL of it... that'd be ridiculous. If I pressed play on my computer the music literally wouldn't stop for over a month later.

Well, it took a little time, but it eventually did turn to how/where to unlawfully download music. *sigh*

Those posts have now been removed.

ScionLife is not a forum to discuss where to get, what to use, or how to download warez, pirated music, pirated software, cracks, hacks, S/Ns, etc. I know some will do it, but don't do it here.
