I see a 64-66 T-bird in the one pic....LOL. Nice. You don't see those anymore (parents had 4...2 landau, 2 hardtop). Those rims are cool though. Didn't you say they were from a friend in Japan? All the cars(most) are American?!?! in the pics.

Those are hot! What are they super thick plexiglass or something. What could be that clear and hold up a cars weight. The lip on the rim is already hot, but seeing through makes it look triple the width. Very nice! By the way, I agree with x_rayted711. Those pics look more like a Cali suburb than japan.

would that be safe on a collision though.. looks like it would just shatter into pieces if it got T-boned.

Those same 2 pics are on several car forums. Someone claims that it's a photochop that some guy on my350z.com did, but I couldn't find the thread. Don't know if it's true or not and just for the record, reflections can be photochopped too, if the person pays attention to detail.

LOL scionicman...they do look kinda narrow...I was looking at the lugs...they look to be sitting in about an inch being that the tops are flush with the clear face of the rim...this would mean that there isn't much material holding those puppies on! If it is a real pic, I'd have to beleive they wouldn't be very safe....but I've been wrong before!

I think theryre sweet looking if they are real i would imagine they would get exteremly dusty on the other side, because of the brakes, is it just me or does it look like a wheel that was going really fast and they just chopped out the center and put on this car

It's not just you...

If you look close, it's a pic of a rim spinning really fast, not a clear rim.

You guys are kidding right? Spinning really fast huh? Why clear acryllic couldn't have swirls in it could it? Amazing how the lugs and hub are completely visible and stationary. Man those rims must of been spinning at 3 million RPM's. :D

wow i wasnt saying that they werent clear wheels i was just saying they kinda looked like a photoshop of actual moving wheels an who is to say that isnt a photo shop let me guess you have them on your car right now, anyways im not a master at acryllic but doesnt it have a lower melting point then metal? so wouldnt these have the potential to melt under extreme braking conditions?

You know what? I'm thinking these might be real. It wouldn't even be too hard to do. A three-piece wheel with a CNC'd Lexan center about 3 inches thick should support the car. Not the cheapest mod, but not really WAY expensive either.

I'd like to see them in person. It IS a little fishy that I couldn't find any other pictures of these on the internet.

Not necessarily(?) If they can make clear hoods outta some form of material it wouldnt be too hard to do it on wheels although now it would be safe to say these things arent safe if they are real. But I think if somone wanted to they could produce clear rims.
