Second Stage Turbine was awesome,
In Keeping Secrets was pretty cool,

I thought Burning Star IV was crap. I'm not too excited about listening to this one.

 

i will get it pretty soon, i love coheed! Burning star IV is one of my favorite cd's of all time

 

who are they never heard of them

 

They used to be a decent rock band from Jersey, but they've gotten mad proggy over the past few years. Some people call them 'the poor-man's Rush'

 

Yeah, if you don't like IV you are NOT going to like this latest one. It has more pop in it, but the sound of IV is definitely still there.

It's missing alot from their first two albums. I don't have a favorite but it's definitely not the latest one.

 

ive never, ever liked this band.

the music is great, but the vocals make me want to shoot myself. His voice is just painful to me.

Im really in to progressive/experimental music like Circa Survive, Chiodos, The Sound of Animals Fighting, Dredg, RX Bandits, etc. But i remember listening to the Running Free for the first time and i was like "This is going to be awesome", but then i heard his voice and was like, ahhhhhh crap, now i remember why i hate this band

 

dude... Circa Survive and Chiodos are awesome! i just saw Everytime I Die (for the 6th time), Poison the Well (3rd time) and Underoath friday, and im goin to see Thursday this thrusday

Just saw Circa last week and im seeing Chiodos this month on the 18th.

Tonight is The underoath/maylene/etid for me.

Thursday is Saosin/Norma Jean/Envy on the coast/Alexisonfire

and friday is thursday haha

 

I'm a big Underoath fan, Define the Great Line is one of my favorite albums of all time. Have fun dude.

Coheed is a great band, they have a sweet sound and are all really talented musicians, but i can understand were his voice can get on peoples nerves. the older stuff is on a whole different level then the new stuff. i will still go buy there new album but i know it wont compair

UO, Maylene, and ETID is the show i saw friday, its unbelieveable, is PTW playin with them then? for your sake i hope so. they are amazing.

 

saosin is good live too, i saw them last year with Senses Fail and Bleeding Through

 

Bleeding Through, thats another great band.......... good choice in music guys

Senses fail is a really good band especially there original EP.

Anyone listen to Armor for Sleep? New Album next tuesday

 

I just finished listening to the New Coheed cd.... wow, i am really disappointed. I was like the only one who really liked their last album, but the new one is just not good. Its fine i guess, but it just fell a lot short

 

I still can't help but listen to it, and some tracks are really starting to grow on me. Here are my favorites so far.

-Mother Superior (Track 6; already learned it on guitar)
-No World for Tomorrow (Track 2)
-The End Chapter III: The End Complete (Track 11)
-The Reaping (Track 1; already learned it on guitar, too)

Other than that, everything else is still good. But the album can't compete with anything they've released earlier.

 

chiodos sucks. coheed, saosin, and circa are where its at.
