Wow, you're sounding more and more like a jehovahs witness as opposed to a christian, is there something you're not telling us? lol
As opposed to a christian? I have talked with krusty via pms and it sounds as christian as any other "christian" religion.

Can you explain in what way they are not christian?

so you're saying after adam, and before jesus people had to goto "the holy of holies" to have any sort of relationship with god? So are you saying the average joe-blow couldn't pray at home?

I don't understand why jesus had to die. God did have a very very close relationship with people, even wicked non-holy people like King David, who was well before jesus.

Since you know the bible, you know your god had relationships with people, good and bad, holy and unholy already in the bible, so why did jesus have to die?

Is it because god made this game where "usually" some people (because some sins, like king david's did not always get a sacrifice) have to kill an animal to get god to forgive them, and because of god's rule that he follow himself only most of the time, that jesus made a deal with god? or satan? to be the one to die for the rest of humanituy's sins?

He just cut and pasted from a anti-J-dub website.

I provide info from catholic encylopedias, he cut and pastes from a anti-jw webiste. Nice.

My problem is that people worship Jesus and have this crazy idea about a trinity, that the pope says that is a mystery, that we cant understand, but other people act like it is a simple teaching.

Technically, the bible tells you not to tattoo yourself (obviously dosen't use the word tattoo...) I need to find that.

One of my main problems with "christianity" is that when a baby or young kid dies, they say that God needed another angel in Heaven. How moronic/contradictory is that? He created the Universe, but needs your little kid as a angel, and takes him away from you. Every time I hear that moronic idea spew out of someones mouth, I cringe. That ____es me off so much.

LOL... I would not even bother with the anti-tattoo quote. People are very selective in how they read/interpret the bible. Trust me, it would do no good.

It actually deals with not cutting yourself (since only humans do that to lesser creatures to get meat/goods). Tattoos, scarification, and to some strict orthodox jews even surgery or shots are off limits.

Hmm, might have to chop that up to using a different version of the bible... Either that or I'm confusing it with a Babylon 5 episode...

Well the way most christians interpret it is no. However they say that if you are not sure if it might be displeasing to god and you still do it then it is definitely a sin.

Since xdorkx is not around for comment I'll help him out because I love how the bible can be twisted to whatever means. Pretend I am xdorkx:

Yes, but the context of Lev.19:28 is one of pagan idolatry, and the practices described there (vv.26-29) are clearly behaviors that were part and parcel of worshiping idols instead of the one true God. So since it is not mentioned elsewhere in the bible it is fair to conclude that non-religous tattoos are ok.

Isn't the bible awesome.

No it doesn't actually..."You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh on account of the dead or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the LORD."

Does this verse really condemn all tattoos?

Read properly, no!

Leviticus 19:26-31 deals with pagan practices and God's prohibitions against adopting those practices. In verse 28, God is warning the Jewish people about a pagan practice at funerals, where pagans would mutilate/mark themselves to appease their false gods. The pagans hoped that by cutting themselves and marking images/symbols of idols on their bodies, that they would obtain favor in the afterlife from their false gods, both for themselves and for those who just died... nice try though. :-)

So its wrong to do it if its for a pagan tradition but ok if its not? Yeah, keep on twisting it.
