I don't know if anyone's experienced this, but some people have mocked the Scions when we had our meet. I dunno if anyone's experienced that? It just gets me mad sometimes when they have nothing else to do with their life but to mock us.

 

They are just jealous so you should be laughing at them on the inside.

 

Some do. And then I go to auto-x and get better times than them.

 

Rhd, good point! Then again the people who usually mock my tC or other scion cars at meets are kids whose parents prolly pay for their bills. The real tuner guys always give my car a nice compliment or respect. At least I know one thing, I'll never be a *****. I just want to see someone driving a box toast someone with a big mouth drving a tuner.

 

I was at a car show with some other Scion owners last weekend and there were like 7 Cobalts there and I think they were mocking us... we just laughed at them and their stock Cobalts.

 

some do, but then when they try and run with me on the highway or
on a nice crazy road they realize the potential of the tC and usually give props.

i get mocked on a celica forum all the time for having a xb and got laughed at by some puck kids driving old comvertable fiat yesterday

 

Personally I've only gotten compliments on my tC. Maybe this tends to happen more to people with xA' and xB's? I think it'll be funny to laugh at the cobalt people when after a year or two their car is in a scrapyard or broken down and we'll still be haulin' a$$ in our tC's after 7+ years.

 

happens to me all the time, just yesterday 5 guidos (sp?) were piled in an old passat and i passed them in the mall parking lot and they were laughing and cursing at me, just shrugged it off, but i made sure to park on the other side of the mall
and last week when we had a meet, 16 of us were there and 2 mustangs kept flying by, one was smoking, sure sign of the engine about to blow, and they came in ate and then peeled out, made no sense, also a yuppie in a stock 300 peeled out almost nailing the curb

 

i have not had anyone mock me but allot of the ricers like to try and i do mean try to race me on the highway lol and when i fly past them i think it shocks them. lol but there are a few cars i will not attempt to race knowing how much more horsepower they have.

 

i love getting next to someone at the light and when they rev at me i rev back and creep up a little to get them going...then when the light turns green. i dont go. i let them take off and then just coast up the them at the next light and laugh.

 

always idiots around here. but yesterday i wanted to cry... i pass this integra ls... just driving not being an ***** or anything.. not even thinking.. has a exhaust and some rims.. i thought it was nothing... i thought if he came on me i could just burn him... well... he gets next to me on the high and psshhhhh>>....
i was like hmmm i might as well back down now... lol.. quit while im ahead.. but then i guess he wasn't mocking me or anything..

 

man when i got my scion in 04 every 1 was makeing fun of my car and they still do i dont care i tell them make fun of my car but i least i dont drive a Tampon (Hondas) and i tell them what that a 10sec car and theyb tell be what am i, i tell them better then you


their no haonda w/o a swap motor they cant fix the motor with the car come so they have to swap i call them

 

personally people alwyas look at my car its a love or hate situation. Pulling out of my favorite pizza joint a intergra punk pulls right up next to me and the kid starts laughing , pointing fingers mocking the box and trys to run me on a regular road.....my friends were behind me so i let him act cool and fly by me well i was teh one laughing when he was pulled over ahead

Yea, one of my friends at school who has a 2000 Ecplise GT (pos... ) always makes fun of my car. Then some kid who just bought the new civic was talkin ____ about scions and i asked him how much he paid for his car, he says 19,000...and its a frigin dx bottom of the line everythign lol. Started to talk about how fast it was and ____ so i looked it up...out of the box those things run low 17's . People just don't understand how good of a car it is for the money, they just think "omg a scion LOL its just a ____ty branch of toyota".

 

The only people I've ever encountered who dis and even try to race me, are ALWAYS in either an STi or SRT-4. Umm.. My car, performance wise is stock. Its a given, their car is faster then mine, I won't deny that... But my car still LOOKS better then theirs and cost a lot less.

 

The people who tend to diss Scions in my area have been ****** who push WRX's, not STis, Civics, and Evos. But it hasn't been as many though. Then again it's usually spoiled children who diss a Scion. Everyone else, including mechanics have either praised me or like my tC.

 

i've noticed older adult tuners (26yrs old +) compliment while younger punks usually diss. I had one kid blow me off the line with his dad's Infiniti M45. It just so happened that we were both pulling into the same parking lot. When he got out he started to talk his trash. I promptly showed him my badge and gun and asked him to apologzie. He did without hesitation. Just becareful who YOU trash talk. You never know who's armed.
