I think the exact words the gov't used when they closed was "We feel it is better to have these patients held at home rather than a hospital" which is a bunch of crap because there's a newer hospital right next to it..........
Got a friend in CO who is a trained ChemE and a strong non-believer in religion, due mainly to it's mysticisms. However, you put her in front of a mirror, and whisper "candyman", and you'll see her face turn absolute pale with fear. She'll then threaten to kick the poop out of you if you say it again. Absolutely hillarious.
I posted this before in a similar thread. ...didn't feel like typing it all again, so I just used the old "cut & paste". It's a little long, but well worth the read.
My g/f moved into a small efficiency-type apartment by herself. She and I were starting to get serious, so it wasn't long before my lease was up and I moved in with her.
The apartment was ALWAYS cold, no matter what the temperature was outside. We were on the bottom floor of a 3 story building, so we just wrote it off as if the people around us had their A/C running all the time.
Almost immediately, we started having strange things occur. The TV would randomly turn itself on or off at all hours. Most of the time, it would occur during the day, so my g/f would come home and find the TV on. At the time, I worked nights for a computer company, so I didn't usually get home until after midnight... well after 2am if I went to shoot pool after work (which happened frequently). My g/f would have to get up early to go to work and would occasionally find things scattered all over the kitchen area. Of course, she would blame the mess on me, but I had nothing to do with it.
These sorts of issues continued for several months. At first, they happened so infrequently that we ignored them. Steadily, they began to occur more often and each time, would be a little more severe than the last. Near the end of our stay at the apartment, my g/f would wake up in the morning to find the front door unlocked and wide open, the patio door unlocked and wide open, and the windows in the living area wide open. We quickly began to realize that we were not alone in the apartment.
The last straw came one weekend evening as we were planning to go out. My g/f was getting ready in the bathroom while I watched TV in the living area. We were about to leave when the door leading from the living area to the bedroom slammed shut. My g/f screamed! I tried to push the door open, but at first, it would not budge. I told her to let go of the door.
She said she was sitting on the bed which was several feet from the door. It took me a few seconds to shove the door open. It was as if something was pushing against the door the entire time. I had to shove it with my shoulder to get it to budge. Once I got the door all the way open, the pressure against it stopped. My g/f was sitting on the bed where she had claimed to be. She was beginning to cry as the incident had scared her very badly.
We walked out to the parking lot to leave for the evening. As I got in the car, I looked back towards our bedroom window and could swear I saw a silhouette of a person standing... watching us. A sudden chill came over me that actually had me frightened, which is VERY uncommon. I could actually feel someone staring at me.
When we got to dinner, we were both quiet. I finally mentioned to my g/f that I thought we needed to break the lease and move out. She agreed, but was concerned that it would cost us some money as we had several months left on the lease. When we got home, I found that my other car (I had two Camaros at the time) had been vandalized and the window had been broken out. Nothing was stolen, but the fact that it had occurred on the apartment's supposed "secure" premises was all I needed to get the management to let us vacate the apartment without any penalties.
We gave our notice, but had to finish the month before the our next apartment complex would have a unit available. We began to pack our belongings up in boxes. My g/f was afraid to be alone in the apartment, so she would stay with a nearby friend until I got home from work and would then come back to the apartment. The last night, I came home from work early to finish packing. My g/f stayed with her friend that night, as I was going to get up early to get the rental truck to move us. I packed up the remaining dishes that night and sealed the box up with tape. I had two boxes, one full of plates and the other, full of glasses.
The next morning, I left to get the truck. My g/f met me back at the apartment to load up the boxes. She walked into the kitchen to pick up a box, stopped, turned towards me and asked, "Why didn't you finish packing these glasses?" I told her I had packed everything. She said, "Well, you must have missed these." I went into the kitchen and found all the glasses I had packed the previous night were neatly stacked back in the cabinet and the box that I had packed them in was literally destroyed and laying in pieces on the floor!
There was still tape on the seams. The box looked as if it had been ripped apart from the inside. The flaps had not been opened, the tape had not been removed. The box was literally ripped apart! When I pointed at the box, my g/f immediately knew what had happened.
To draw this story to a close, as we were moving out the last of the furniture, we ran into the neighbor that lived directly above us. He has an odd look on his face. We chatted for a few minutes about where we were moving and such. I did not want to mention why, simply because I didn't want to look like a fool, so I kept my mouth shut about it. As we were finishing the conversation, he asked quietly, " Have you had anything weird happen in your apartment?"
I immediately knew what he was referring to. I simply stated, "Now you know why we're moving out," and just smirked at him a little. His eyes got a little bigger around as if I had confirmed something he had been dreading. As he walked off, he said to us, " I probably won't be here much longer myself. I haven't been able to sleep much lately, you know." I knew what he meant.
With the final load in the truck, my g/f and I made a final sweep of the apartment. As we turned off the lights and closed the front door for the last time, I could almost swear I heard someone whispering from inside. I quickly dismissed it and headed for the truck.
My friend Chris, who had helped me move most of the heavy stuff, pointed back at the bedroom window and said, "Dude, it kinda looks like someone's in there." Again, that strange feeling of being stared at came over me. This time, I didn't look back. I closed the truck door, got in, fired up the U-Haul and drove away.
The strangest part of what Chris had to say was that I had not mentioned to him all the nonsense we had experienced, nor had I mentioned seeing the silhouette of a person standing in that same window from before.
This is not a fictitious story, though it may seem so. My g/f and I never set foot on the premises of that apartment complex since that last night.

Sorry, I actually have been an editor (and a professional writer who in turn hated editors).
I just went back and put some paragraph breaks into that tale.

I believe. Which goes against my incredibly logical mindset but Ive seen things that are undeniable. Working on a 108yr old historical sailboat will teach you things that didnt seem possible...
Holy ____ UV7. That was the creepiest thing I've read. haha
Sounds like a cliche movie, but none the less real. I believe you. haha
Quick story to share with you guys.
My uncle has always been quite a character. They say (family and doctors) he has suffered from trauma from being in the military for quite the years. He is from Guam (I'm chamorro), and he has been stationed many places and fought during desert storm I believe and probably something else I'm missing...
But as I said, he is from Guam. According to our culture, it is said that there are "Little People", in other words, our ancestors that watch the island of guam. If you take something, they bruise you until you give it back. I believe Hawaiian culture has a similar story. In other words, you take a rock as a souvenir, and you'll find yourself covered in bruises as if a bunch of little kids were punching you. It's a very strange culture and its hard to believe. ____ in the forest and before you are out you will have pinpricks all over you. Soon enough, the little people won't like you at all =)
They also say that if they don't like you, they will follow you around and basically mess around with you. They almost become part of you.
Well, my uncle lived here in California for quite a bit now. He has tried not to be too physical as he can't work too much because of his injuries, and insurance from the gov won't cover certain things that happened while he was in the war (which is just dumb).. But anyway, I remember staying at his apartment. And he would just talk this very strange tongue in his sleep. Sure, people talk in their sleep right?
well, my aunt was talking about how he ALWAYS sleep walks. He'd get up and start talkin in some weird demonic tongue, and no its not chamorru or filipino or any islander language, its something she doesn't even know. He'd go into these weird sleepwalks that were creepy...
One time, my aunt said he was convulsing and speaking a crazy tongue while he was sleeping. She freaked out, and assumed he was having perhaps a heart attack or spasm, who knows. But she said she looked at him and his eyes were blacked out and he smiled an evil smile and she did her holy water thing and he stopped... I'm not too sure about that but it sure as hell sounds creepy.
one day she said they were looking for him, they were saying "Where the hell his Raymond? He hasn't been around for hte past half hour he was just here" So they went to go find him. He was NO where to be found and he does not drive. My aunt circled the house and couldn't find him. Everyone was confused... So she went out back one more time and found him levitating above the bench outside in a standing motionless stature, just levitating. She freaked out and he just dropped. He has not clue what happened and acted like nothing was wrong...
Another time, my OTHER uncle and my grandfather were fighting, in a fist fight, throwing punches, slamming eachother into doors. And my uncle raymond comes in and tries to break them up. He stands in the middle of them and puts his hands out to stop them both from getting to eachother and my other uncle in the fight literally flies across the room as if someone just threw him.
Now you may say, levitating? Thats bull____. Speaking an evil tongue while convulsing? Thats bull____. having the power to make someone fly across the room even when you don't mean to... Thats bull____.
How can you explain 3 (and much more) events that are linked to one person? It's not even in one household. These types of events follow him around all the time... hes a strange person, and hes quite funny and hes a good guy. But I don't understand why everyone in my family has witnessed him do different things. I've heard him speak his strange tongue in his sleep but I think i'd freak out if I found him doing something otherwise.
my grandmothers house seems to be haunted anyway, lots of creepy stuff happens. i believe it...

I don't have anything nearly as bizarre as some of these others, just some 'things' I have first hand experience with, but cannot explain.
(1) In 1956 my uncle, who was in the merchant marine, was murdered in a town about 20 miles north of here. My mother was washing the dinner dishes when the Renton police called to let her know that her brother had been killed. I was in the kitchen next to my mother, drying dishes when the phone rang, and she immediately turned pale, dropped and broke a dinner plate and wailed "Bud!" (her brother's nickname).
None of us even knew he was in the country.
(2) Over the years when people my mother was very close to have needed help or were extremely frightened, she has felt that and has always responded to it. 99 times out of 100 it has been something genuine.
(3) My grandmother was very much like that, also.
(4) It is unbelievable how many times, after not speaking to each other for a week or so (they lived in different states) they would attempt to call each other only to get a busy signal because the other was calling them.
(5) This sort of thing is frightening when it happens to one unexpectedly. I know - I seem to have inherited some of this 'connected at a distance' and have felt - and pursued - the feelings that someone I'm connected to is in trouble. It has been true.
I cannot explain any of this, but I cannot deny it. I just live with it.

Tomas! My mother is the same way. Some people have the extra sense some people don't know what its like. I think I get it from my mother but I always get "deja vu" moments, where it feels like I've seen it before. Often I've had a dream of it and it becomes a reality. It could be something simple as a conversation with certain surroundings, its really weird though. Its like time stops and youre like "holy crap I've been here before"
Well, my mom always has these dreams, she sees EVERYTHINg in dreams. One time she had a dream that her sister got into a car accident with her van, but for some reason in the dream her van was white (and hers is actually green). She was thinking oh no, shes going to get into an accident. She woke up that morning and called her sister and said "are you okay?! I had a dream of you" and her sister said "yeah, i'm fine, but nishea (her daughter) got a brand new white lancer today... and crashed it 5 hours later"
Sometimes its just certain details in her dreams that are switched around but my mom is CRAZY. Anything she says will come true lol.
She had a dream her coworker was really sick and was in the hospital in like critical condition or something. She told her and everyone was like uh thats not good she should be careful... She's been complaining of her stomach aching and therefore not showing up to work all the time but people always excused it. One day her spleen ruptured (I believe thats what it was) and she was in the hospital and everyone is like omg diane is can tell the future! haha.
its pretty scary. sometimes her dreams are extremely symbolic. And we usually sit down and analyze them just to prepare for future events cause they usually come true, haha
As for that picture aznpimp, that looks really weird lol. it looks like your hand just got the shakes when you were taking that picture and there were little lights in the back, teh shutter was left open too long so it captured your hands movement. Its funny how its in the shape of a person though haha

Heh. I hear you on your mom's dreams, Cleveland - when mine starts with "I had a weird dream last night..." we all know to pay attention.
For a while she would write down the 'weird dreams' when she woke up, but that got too weird even for her - so she doesn't do that any more.
Like I said, "I cannot explain any of this, but I cannot deny it. I just live with it."
Take care,
Tom

You've got gangsta ghosts ballin' around you!!!
i don't believe in ghosts, but when I slept at grandma's house, I used to 'see' one out of the corner of my eye at night, for just a second when walking down the hall to the bedrooms late at night. A woman in her late 30s, long white nightgown, long hair. overall a bluish/white glow.
Also at the same house, there are a series of windows strecthing the length of the long house, and to knock on the frontdoor, you have to pass by each one. We'd swear we'd see a sherlock holmes outfit guy, walking to the front door to knock, and it would only be in the middle of bright sunny days. It is odd, because when you see someone walking past the windows to come knock, you'd get up to go answer the door, but when you got there, no one was there.

dont know if i want to say i believe in ghosts, but some unusually strange things have happened in my 60 year old house. We have lived here 16 years, but before my family there has been 17 other residents who have all left. My girlfriend is afraid to stay over every night she does.
Heres a few strange occurances:
1. I was home alone one night (around dusk @ 7:00pm). I thought i heard creaking in my hallway, which i could see from wher ei was sitting on the couch watching TV, but saw nothing and dismissed it as 'old home noises'.
Now, in this hallway is a door to a bathroom, that is always open, and always pitch black since there are no windows.
While watching TV i thought i heard a strange noise, like someone was running water from the faucet in our victorian sinks in the bathroom. Now there are 3 upper level bathrroms, so i thought maybe someone came home and i just hadnt noticed.
Suddenly, the noise stopped. i stood up, and called out "Mom...Dad...Alex? Someone home?" There was no response.
All of a sudden i heard the water turn on again, and i started to worry. Then, i heard something even stranger. I heard the sound of bristles scrubbing, as if someone was brushing their teeth. This went on for about 15 seconds, and then stopped. Pretty nervous now, i called out to my family again, with no answer.
I looked out front and saw my car was the only one home, so i briskly waled to the kitchen and grabbed a big ___ knife. Slowly i started to walk down the hall toward the dark bathroom (since that was the only one close enough that i should be able to hear brushing).
slowly i walked forward , and suddenly swung myself in front of the doorway! nothing was going on in the bathrrom. So i slowly walked around to check the other bathrooms, that had windows, and everything was fine.
So i start to calm down and put the knife to my side, and proceeded to turn the corner to head down the hall. As soon as i turned the corner, i saw the bathrrom light was on....and i most certainly did not turn it on.
I put the knife up and yelled in the bathrrom with no response. So i once again swung myself in front of the doorway and saw my toothbrush on the floor, where it had not been about 2 minutes ago.
I picked up my toothbrush and felt it..it was soaking wet, like it had just been used. Theni looked in the sink only to find that it was bone dry. Toothpaste was all dried up and crusty at the bottom of the sink from earlier that morning ( about 12 hours).
Needless to say i freaked out and called my parents to get home right now as something weird was going on. Never figured that one out.
2. Late at night one evening, my whole family, girlfriend, and i came home from a nice dinner. The house was pitch black as usual, so my gf and i proceeded to head towards my bedroom to do some naughty things lol.
Now, i live in my basement (probably my first mistake), but is finished very nicely w/ carpet and whatnot.
As i approached the closed door to head into my basement, all was fine...no funny feelings or anything. About 3 inches away from my hand actually reaching the door **** to open the door, all of a sudden the door **** twisted back and forth violently and the door shook.
Now, these are old, heavy doors that have ***** that havent exactly been greased up recently, so they dont turn too easily. And the way these ***** twisted, you could hear them twist all the way they possible could so that they were making a bell sound as they struck their twisting limit.
My gf screamed and ran away and i jumped back and fell to the ground. My father started to run downstairs and i said "Dad!!!! Bring a weapon! i think someones in the house!"
So he brought down a big knife (same one from story above ironically), and i grabbed a golf club.
Theres no way out of my basement other than thru the front door. No secret passages, no furnaces or chimneys, absolutely nothing, not even a sewer or septic hole. So you can see how we were pretty sure that whoever was down there was pretty screwed.
So my father and i opened the door and walked in. We locked thd door behind us and turned on all the lights.
We searched high and low and circled every inch of that room and tore everything apart. No one was there. Pretty scary.
3. One evening, my gf, our female friend, and myself were at home in my room just hanging out. We were all 3 supposedly alone that night.
Around 2am i vaguely remember seeing multicolored lights shining brightly thru my window and then all of a sudden looking over at the clock and it was now 4:17 am, a time i wont ever forget.
I remember thinking "wow, thats weird".
there were no drugs or alcohol involved, honest. When i later spoke to the other 2 girls about it they both remember multicolored lights as well and thinking about how weird it was the 2 hours went by in what seemed a matter of seconds.
To this day the 3 of us have no idea where those 2 hours went.
Heres some other random stuff
- frequently the doors in my room just open...even from a locked position they open. Its weird.
- myself and my gf have both seen 2 figures in room. I briefly saw a man who looked like he was wearing a (dont laugh please) black jedi robe or a dark robe of some sort.
the other figure is a woman, whom has been topless all 3 times my gf and i have seen her (once by me, twice by her).
- Heres the funny thing about the topless woman, other than shes topless. I saw her in my mirror standing behind me, and when i turned around she was gone. But now there is a residue on my mirror that is in the shape of two breasts that have been pressed up against it. i will take a picture to share with you guys when i get home. its still there and it disapeears and re appears from time to time. It was there today, so hopefully i can take a pic tonight and post it.
if i think of anything else i will post it up. my life is plagued by events such as these, and others are witnessing it as well.
