Okay, here is an ethics question that has been posed to me and i have posed before....possibly even on this forum, i can't recall. Anyway, here it is. Say you have this woman friend who you have known for some time. She has always been a close friend but not a romantic one. One day she comes to you and tells you she has been diagnosed with cancer. The prognosis doesn't look good.

Horror of horrors obviously, but she goes on to reveal to you that she has secretly always wanted to be with you in "that way" and wants to realize that before she passes on.

This in and of itself raises a real ethical question but it is not the crossroad i want you to address here. Stay with me now.

Even though you've never been romantically involved, you decide to do it because she has always been an important and close friend. While you are in the middle of the deep and involved expression of the love you share with each other....she sadly passes on to the next chapter in our journey. She's gone. (sniff)

This is where the ethical question of which i speak arises. In the middle of this both tragic and sharing experience, the ethical question is this:

Would you finish?

no, you got it. but you should have chuckled not answered in a real way. ("Duh, i think if she kicked off i might go a little rubbery"....ya think?!)
