I can see it now! Once they abolish the death penalty, crime is gonna rise sharply due to the criminals knowing they can't get the death penalty. The jails are gonna get filled to capacity and now the tax payers will HAVE TO PAY for more friggin jails to be built. I SAY KEEP THE DEATH PENALTY!!!
In other parts of the world, you are punished heavily for petty crimes and are killed for major crimes, that's why crime is low elsewhere!
We have a huge problem here in the states and something has to be done about it soon...

LOL....no, they aren't going to try to bring him back to life. But the reason they want the doctor there is equally stupid. Apparently, a bunch of liberal ACLU type lawyers have decided that the chemicals which are used for lethal injections could possibly work a little differently than expected whereby causing the criminal pain.
I say, "SO WHAT?!?!" Who ever said that a covicted killer's execution should be painless? Was his victim's death painless? No. His 17 year old victim was beaten, raped and stabbed then left to die in a remote area. I say fry him in an electric chair.

Politics play a major role for one. Two.. its supposed to be humane. Three.. two wrongs wont make it right.. I agree that they should pay for their mistakes.. but think about it.. they are being killed.. regardless of how they are killed or how pristine the execution is.. they are going to be dead. There is no coming back from that.. so who really cares how they die? I personally dont.. I personally know seeing someone killed isn't the best thing in the world.. it takes its tolls. I am sure there are so many different reasons that there is such an issue with this, probally ones that we will never be made aware of.

believing that america has so much crime based on our levals of punishment is redicoluse (almost as redicoluse as how i spelled redicoluse) theres are so many other factors for our crime rate, over population, unemployment, cultural clashes, yada yada.....

True that other factors come in to play, I live in Houston after katrina our crime rate did go up quite bit. Now I do agree that if the detah penalty is removed from the u.s. crime rate will go up as well knowing that the worst they can get is die in prison. But I just think its sad a man who is scheduled for execution did not die because there was no doctor avaible. SCREW politics so what they pick the worst subject ever to be humane on! If they guy dies slow and painfully let them they deserved it!!!!

I agree.. then you have to concider what the victims family wants, what the family of the accused wants.. what the state wants.. everyone has their own opinions on the matter.. but then again.. not everyone has a say in what happens in situations like that. I dont disagree with any of you.. I'm just showing that there is always more than meets the eye.

That I totally agree with. I remember an execution here in texas a few years ago, A mother was watching her son getting executed, and they interviewed her and she said "i feel sorry for the family, do i want my son to die no i dont he is my baby and i love him and will miss him. but he made a choice and did something he should not have and no he has to pay the consequense i love him with all my heart but he made the choice and now he must suffer as do i." so its said parens lose thier children familys lose loved ones its just not fair that the familys that have suffered must wait for this to get executed and he may not be.
