I am a little bit tired of all the BS on this site. It has become a place for people to rip on one another and only about 20% of the people have anything helpful or constructive to say. What is this site for anyway? How many times do i have to read the same dead end thread about turbos and SC's? I don't care if you drive a tC and think you're the ish. Just because your car is faster than an xB doesn't mean you're Mr.Cool. tC's aren't all that fast either. Go buy a Supra! All i can say is thank God for the search function, otherwise this site would be useless to anyone driving a Scion. As far as i'm concerned everyone here has a cool car and no one is cooler than anyone else. If you want to compete do it on a track, not here.

 

Was the said tC bragging going on in the tC forums or were people coming over to the xB zone and talking crap?

Yes that was the case. He was in the xB forum. And he lives in my town so i guess i took it personal.

 

I'm just having a bad day. I'm not saying tC people are ALL jerks. There are xB jerks too. I don't think anyone should be ripping on anyone else. Noobs take alot of crap on this site. Scion owners are not an elite group and we shouldn't act like it. There is enough of that in the world already. If someone has more knowledge than someone else on a topic they shouldn't act all high and mighty. They should just try and be helpful and not treat people like idiots. I know alot of us get tired of reading the same misspelled questions but in that case just get the thread locked and move on.

 

Bsbox, I totally feel ya..... doesn't matter if it is on the forum or on the street, SOME tC fellars morph themselves into the HIGHER SPECIES and start stepping on ppl. The meaning of this forum is to SHARE INFO, not bragging abt how their car is faster than a civic, integra or RSX. Or how many HP they have under the hood with the turbo that they install....

 

I dont like how you post a classified ad and every tool with a keyboard needs to make a BS editorial comment about how thier babies mommas brother cousins inbread dad owns a rims shop etc. etc. it really is lame.

When I joined here - half of the posts were little punk a$$es calling me "gramps" and "pops" and other really intelligent stuff. I invited a few over to LA for a face-to-face because at the almost-dead age of 45, I am quite confident in my abilities...

You got to figure that given a few thousand people, there's gonna be a couple of freaky ones that just love to push buttons and flame other people/rides/cars/beliefs/etc...

Most of us who've been around a while just take this for what it is.... the reality of a large community.

I have both an xB and a tC, so I don't buy the whole dominance argument or such... two different styles of car and different styles of modification...

Just a reminder, if you see crap, or have issues, flag the post and let us Supermods know, so we can do our best to take care of it...

I hate the crap just as much as anyone else... but focusing on the great aspects and realising you'll always have the troublemakers will help out a ton...

its just sad cause every body is self centered around there cars when making posts like like will only fit xBs and not xA's i understand the dash and crap but nearly every thing else should fit fine

 

back then if the dealer would give me a trade in with a good attitude, i would have a RS 1.0..... i have equal love for the xA as well as the xB..... i'm not all xBs all way long (dun let my box hear that )

 

I had no idea tC owners had that rep. Am I the only tC guy that actually likes the XBs? Maybe this perception is why most XB guys I see blow me off when I acknowledge them.

 

I never experienced any people on here like this. This is prob one of the least flame boards I ever been on.

 

Hey. you're not the only one. I happen to like the xB's too and if i could, I'd buy one. I have never had an xB driver acknowledge me before and I figured its because of this same BS. Oh well.. we are not all the same so I hope someone in an xB that doesnt know me says hi

 

I'm a big fan of the xB. The profile can't be beat. It's a little slow for what I'd want to drive, but if gas got horrendous that's the first thing I'd go for.

I don't wave at xBs anymore, mostly because the people ignore me, or don't make the connection that we drive the same brand car, or just give me looks.

 

Ditto this... if you guys see stuff that is inappropriate or against the rules or something, click that little "!" in the upper right of each post - tell us why you're flagging it and we'll address it.

We can only make it better if we know what's wrong.

 

I like the Box now that I've been here a while...
One thing I think is that I can easily recognize a Box, the tC is a little more "generic" to the average Box driver...it's not likely to get a reaction or a wave, in my experience.
I tried waving to some Boxers, but they just look at me funny
