friends jeep battery draining. whats wrong?

ya i know.... its not a scion etc.
but really, what would you guys say?
AND im trying to ground my fogs so they go on w/ my running lights. but turn off when the cars off. how do i do that. and yes, i realize this has been asked before nor is it in the correct area, but its just a side question and i g2g fast.

Sounds like your friend's Jeep has an electrical draw? It's sort of easy to figure out which circuit is causing the problem. You need to put a test light in-line with the ground cable and NEG(-) battery post and start pulling fuses, one by one, until the test light bulb almost turns off completely. Once that happens, start searching around in that circuit's area. Make sure to have a manual to help pinpoint areas around the Jeep. Good luck...

really? a test light? like a lightbulb or led?
and can u explain what it is im doing exactly? take a bulb, put it in the fuse and one cord attached to the negative?

could be a dead cell in the battery or the alternator is showing signs of age.. like dude said above could be an electrical draw like something isnt working 100% so trying to run at 100% its using more power..
