13edge: I wasn't calling people young jerks for having nice cars, just want to clear this up. I was calling them that because the people I am referring too are unable to speak to people with the slightest tone of respect. You don't have to respect the person, but respect the badge/uniform. As far as suing the officer, that is an option. The only problem is, you aren't going to win a lawsuit for being pulled over. If you do, it isn't really going to get you much of anything except extra attention from his brothers and sisters in law enforcement. Last point, the speedtraps vs. patrolling thing. Yes they should have more patrols going in trouble neighborhoods, but a lot of police officers are told where they are to be for their shift. They have a bit of wiggle room obviously, and respond as backup when needed, but they don't just go where they want. If people stopped speeding in certain areas, the police tend to back off making it easier for them to be visible in trouble spots. I know many officers who were stuck in situations where they went from giving a warning, to writing a ticket due to the conduct of the driver, and were held up when a serious call went out.

hookedonlucy: When they see you, they might see a punk kid that looks like an _______ and that is why you get the attitude right from the get go. I don't know you and I don't know anything about you other than you are on this website so I don't want you to take that personally. I am not trying to insult, just trying to clear it up. Sitting behind large buildings? I'm guessing you mean speedtraps. If so, I replied to that above. The donut thing kind of gets me too. Think about it this way. You work a shift where you are mostly sitting in a car driving around, or sitting parked. You need something to keep you awake/attentive. Donuts and coffee works well. Sugar and all that goodness keeps you rolling right along. Yes there are some out of shape/overweight officers, but there are also some healthnuts that can't eat sweets because they are too conscious of what they do. Maybe you shouldn't be busting out an Operation Stereotype.
