well, i can't really speak for the Air Force since i'm not in it (although i am around Airman every day), but i would think that when you are at work, that is EXACTLY the time be squared away and within regs. at least that's how it is for us. but then again, we're squared away ALL the time, so...

And I thought this was a thread to show how the brave men fighting to keep us free let off some steam....

Guys, thanks for all you do and thanks for doing the job so good that you have time to goof off.
You are all in my prayers during this Christmas time as you are away from your families.

That is the times when it is the hardest to stay in regs. My job to make it simple, is at times to climb into a 100+ temped plane, crawl around into tight areas & pull out parts. Those areas I get into, can near temps of 120+ on a cold day. So those are the times when I go t-shirt only. Also its hard to keep "polished" boots when you crawl into tight areas, and do a lot of physical work. The only ppl in the AF I would think should keep them selfs looking real good, are the ones in blues or those dealing with non military personal.

As for the gator I think it should get a brand new paint job. Got any aluminum foil? Could go with a cheap "chrome" paint look Cant wait to see more pics & take it easy over there buddy.. You get to have some fun, while I just had my wisdom teeth pulled friday

Dont pay any attention to what they say. This is what we do to let off steam.
I would have thought the comments to be more like oldmanatee.
" You know, better make sure that shirts tucked in and those hands out of your pockets or were gonna loose the war!"
Just like the people now days. The only reason you are saying what you say is because you are free to do so. By all means go ahead. I have been to this part of the world 5 times. 5 times! Over 2 yrs of my life has been over here. Living in some not so favorable conditions. Missed holidays, oh darn, heres another Christmas and news years Im not gonna be home. How may holidays does that make now,.hrrrmmmm I forget. But you all keep ragging the people that give you the right to do so. They usually will not repond, or they will respond as Redneck did and just stated he was hoping for a little different outcome on his post.
Meanwhile back in Baghdad I need to check my uniform and get my hands out of my pockets.

k4, and please show all your buddies, I can not tell you thank you enough for all the sacrifices that you and all of your comrades over in the sandbox have made for all of us over here. I know you don't want to be there, but your dedication to freedom for an oppressed people keep you in harms way. I will say thank you when others will not.
They say there are no heroes anymore... I say they are all in uniform!

Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Bob

Man I love what the guys in the military come up with to pass the time and to relieve stress. Ex. building a Gator GTR, video taping themselves when the fly training missions( fighter pilots), Black Hawk gunner videos, Apache gunship attacks, and a C-130 firing the big gun. I have the greates respect for any body serving in the military. I hope to follow in my Grandfathers footsteps and become a Naval Aviator.( He flew during the end of WWII and Korea.) I'm in Navy JROTC and I have an Idea how hard it is to stay in uniform while your woking your butt off. So to the people who think that you should have your shirt tucked in and be in full uniform while your working they can go "F" themselves.
I would also like to thank you guys(and girls) for doing what others won't do, over in the "Giant Sand Box" called The Middle East.
