This poor soul had their sidekick stolen by the girl you see above. If anyone can do anything to help, please do so!

 

Uh, well the 1st thing you need to do is call T-Mobile (1-800-937-8997) and have that thing suspended so she doesn't give you the gift of a $500 bill. Then my suggestion to you would be to find a friend with an old T-Mobile phone and use it for the next month, maybe two. Just stop by a T-Mobile store in MD and buy a new SIM for it. By then, you shoud be able to get your hands on the SideKick III (yes, it IS coming). When you call customer care, say the word REPRESENTATIVE when the IVR asks you what you need. You may have to say it a second time when she gets specific, but "representative" is the key word that the IVR recognizes to send you to a living person.

P.S.-try and guess what I do for a living...

 

oh yeah, don't try and ask the customer care rep about the III, you're gonna get the cookie-cutter response from a script written by T-Mobile regarding the III, which will basically leave you frustrated and confused.

On a side note, I cant wait for the SK3, checked out the FCC docs that came out today. Looking good. June 28th cant get here soon enough (or July 10th if you dont already have a kick)

Yeah she took a bunch of pics. What an idiot, the way the sidekick works, you cant do anything with a stolen one without the original owner being able to watch your every move with it lol.

 

I'm gonna keep my sk2 close to me!! Even tho I already do!! That girl is really ugly!! Hope that girl gets it back!! So is that the exact date its being released? Does my plan have to be up to get the 3? Can't wait. Now we gotta stay on topic b4 this gets locked. And one more thing. Where do I go for the FCC docs?

 

So far the rumor which seems to be somewhat reliable is that existing SK users will get a presale email to get it on the 28th everyone else can get it strting Juliy 10. I'll post a link to the FCC docs in a sec

just seems like its spreading too fast. if my sidekick was stolen i would never make a fuss over it like this! I would make a bigger fuss over how TMOBILE sent me a refurbished phone that was still broken! lol!

 

im also confused by how she put HER SIM card in her new phone and saw what hte person had done. Im pretty sur eif ur phone is stolen then so is the sim card and thats that! The only way you can see what was done on ur sidekick is by loggin on ur tmobile account then u can see the pics saved on ur phone

 

Im a total detective and that myspace address that the THIEF made was created very recently cuz theres no comments barely any friends..this sounds way too suspicious. I call it just another FORWARD fake

 

yea they prob logged in an the girl who took the pic didnt know that could be done. With her picture and the location that it was stolen .... something should be able to get done. It bothers me when people do that ...hopefully the girl bought it from someone and she didnt take it herself (so ill give her the benefit saying she didnt do it). ...anyway ... can you get a sidekick w/o cell service? Im looking for a device like the ogo ( www.ogo.com ) that you can get just email/AIm service on but no cellphone service.

 

I call it a fake story all together! And if shes that mad that her phone got jacked then i feel bad for her! lol! its just a phone - cough up the 200 bucks and get another one or just get a 50 dollar cheap one for now till the SK3 comes out

 

Actually the whole tracking thing is for the phone itself not the sim, it actually has to be updated to allow the new owner (in a resale) can login , if it is never changed then the old acount still exists and hence the tracking.

 

Thats because she closed her orig myspace account after the story popped off and created a new myspace account which is the one with the lack of comments and friends.
