You guys have no idea. . . jeez

There are friggin history channel specials on this, and it's quite frequent.

THE GOVERNMENT TEST MISSLES ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME!!!!

The Navy often test missles launched from the Pacific Ocean (and flies them over major cities like S.F. or L.A.) several times a month. It's standard military testing. Most of them are dud rockets, but sometimes there are live munitions launched. The majority of them are aimed at targets in the Mojave Desert, by Edwards Air Force Base, China Lake, and all those cool places.

The times, course, and locations of the tests are NOT disclosed for national security, but the military will fess up to it. There are five million safegaurds, from electronic to supervised, to jet fighter escorts for some missles. There are three main sties on the west coast that test missles, Vandenburg, Edwards, and China Lake.

AND HEY PEOPLE!!!! THIS IS PUBLIC INFORMATION!!!!!

Do you people honestly think that we've created bombs and missles without ever testing them and practicing on their use? News flash. . . we've tested tons of nukes IN OUR OWN BORDERS. In fact, we have our western ballistic missle defense hidden all over northern CA. Ever wonder why the most random spots in the most random mountains have fenced off areas marked and secured with electrical fences and razor wire and government warning signs? There are dozens of Nuclear ICBM missles hidden ALL over the US. . .

I for one feel safer. Any POS country decides to launch one missle at us or set off ONE dirty bomb. We'll shake and bake half the planet in retaliation. They take out a city block, we take out a continent! Anybody who launches a nuclear missle at us would have to be a complete idiot, as we would completely decimate their country AND their neighbors.

Actually we now have the technology to blow their missle/rocket/bomb literally OUT of the sky. No need to take the hit and kill 99% of the globe

Utah is home of the new Area 51. It's up in the mountains, about 10k feet or so allowing for less energy needed to place whatever in orbit. It's also more remote, and secure.

So where are all thoose Janets that take off from The Las Vegas Airport and head to an undisclosed location just north of Las Vegas going now. I also wonder why retired Air force officers are telling us that Groom Lake (aka. Area 51) is still up and running and will be for a long time?

Area 51 is a location on a map just like area 10 out side of Nellis or area 25 another ten miles north of that. It is not a covered up name, it is an actual area owned by the Government!

I never said that Area 51 is dead, and I also know that the government gave up long ago with covering it up or trying to hide it. The place up in the mountains in Utah is just another one, and there are two main reasons for that: the altitude and Area 51 is pretty much the exact opposite of secret now.

There are Area 51's all over this country. We spend BILLIONS of dollars on defense research. We can afford more than one facility.

It's a matter of national security that the locations are not released.

Sorry. . . I just HATE it when some stupid pic shows up on the internet and people start screaming, "Conspiracy conspiracy!!!!!!"

Oh lordee lordeee, they shot a missle at the twin towers and the petagon. . . so retarded.

A good physics book, a copy of the constitution, and some general knowledge about how this government works will do wonders for your state of mind.

George Bush can't formulate a sentence, let alone execute the most ellaborate conspiracies known to man. . . let along the sheer volume of unaccountable people that would need to be silenced about such an attrocity. Bill Clinton was brilliant, and he couldn't even get away with a BJ.

True. . . and we have many technologies that we don't even know about. To think. . . the existence of the stealth bomber was not announced until almost a decade after its release. . . imagine what we have now! The friggin F-117 Nighthawk has 100% fiber optic data cabling as its super computers are processing so much information!

AFAIK, laser missle defense is still in it's infancy. . . but the full details are extremely hush hush, so I can't really speculate.

The problem with intercepting ICBM's isn't shooting them down. . . it's KNOWING about them before they land, as the time of launch to target is very small, so the window to take out the missle is very small. Furthermore, there are unknown consequences of shooting down a nuclear ICBM in the atmosphere. . . it could mean spreading toxic radio active material over a HUGE area!

The best defense is the deterence of retaliation. It's the reason the Cold War never started. Nobody wanted to attack as each party feared to counter-attack.

funny, I didn't see anyone comment on a conspiracy. Just people trying to figure out why it was on google earth.
