GOT A TICKET!!
Here's what happened:
I was making a left onto a major street (Bellflower BLVD) to be exact and had my system blasted. As I passed Imperial HWY i noticed a cop tailgaiting me. He then suddenly turned on those bright ___ lights of his and made me pullover. To make this story a lil shorter; he gave me a ticket for having my radio too loud. He stated that he could hear it 50ft. away which gave him the OK to give me that ticket. I feel really stupid for blastin' my music but my question is, how much do you think i'll be paying for this ticket? On the ticket it stated that it was "non correctable" and also was informed that this is a traffic violation. Does anyone know how much i'll be paying?

its always correctable.. i dunno whats invloved with a violation with blasting a radio but i would assume u would have to go to a judge or get an officer to sign off that u removed ur subs (temporarly if u do have subs) to show that u don't plan on blasting it so loud... other wise i don't kno how else u can prove ur not gonna be blasting ur stereo anymore. .good luck man.
You will be paying around 135.00 or more, most tickets are now around 135.00 for anything..........tinted windows, noise polution, what not......135+35.00 traffic school fee+35.00 for traffic school.......
the way it used to be was they would send you a letter with some whacked out abil amount usually around 300.00, if you showed up to court it would get kicked down to half, or less, or thrown out, not the court does not have the time to deal with it that way, so they just send out a letter for 135.00, you pay it, along with the 35 fee for traffic school.
my speeding ticket was that way.
you cant correct a noise viloation, you can try to fight it, but its your word against the officers. My freind just got through dealing with the same ticket.

However, it is illegal to make excessive noise (you are supposed to not turn up as to disturb other people). Unless you can prove that you weren't past the db limit, or that the officer was incompetent, you're going to be paying that fine.
Just stand outside your house at 11PM and start screaming. You'll get a ticket. . . even without a car. It's called DISTURBING THE PEACE. . . you can even be ticketed for blasting your home stereo or having friends over and talking too loud (if neighbors complain). Oh yes, it's true, and very possible.

you can always fight a ticket. (and you should)
Why should you always fight a ticket when you were clearly wrong? If you were in the wrong you should pay the ticket and fix yourself. Trying to scam your way through life is no way to live.[/qu

I'd suggest not "Fighting" it per say...
When I got tickets a while back, I went into the judge and admitted it... and apologised.... They reduced both tickets I had back then significantly as a result...
Sound proof your car.... I can run insane loudness in my car and barely have it hearable outside...

101 of life bud? Cheating the system? Being a scammer? No, 101 of life is being responsible and accepting fault for your own actions. Don't try to convince people that it is ok to be a criminal.

Try ticketassassin.com . He's got some good general advice.
Regarding fighting your noise ticket, was the ticket for "distrubing the peace" or something else? What was the exact citation #?
Mostly, you can fight tickets based on the technicality of it and wording of the law. ticketassassin is a kind of case law bank / clearinghouse / library for people who want to fight their tickets. You would have to pay though....

How old are you?
Like Wedrivescions said, just plead guilty. If you do not take fault, then the judge will take you for someone that does not except responsibility for ones actions and will not be lenient at all. Dont just pay the fine. Go to court and plead guilty. There is a good chance the fine will-be reduced. That is depending on where you live and your age.
First, addressing the ticket issue and whether or not to "fight" it:
You should always go to court on ANY ticket. Most tickets end up on your driving record and thus affect your insurance rates. If the ticket shows up on your record, you will be hard pressed to catch a break the next time you get pulled over. You will pay a fine, but the insurance co will not be put on notice that you like your radio loud, or drive a little fast sometimes.
Second, as for a "scam" this is far from the truth. As the son of a police officer and friend of many police officers, I can say I never saw a ticket issued to my father (even in Ohio). My friends are stopped, and when the badge is seen in the wallet, simply told to slow it down. It is a professional courtesy extended to others. How does this affect you? Well, because having an attorney and going to court will permit you (oftentimes) to take advantage of the same discount, like a "friends and family" deal.
Keep in mind that at least here in Michgan, when you are pulled over, the officer/tropper rights three speeds on your ticket: The posted speed limit, the speed he wrote you up for, and your actual speed. Those same speeds end up on your driving record. So when the officer says he gave you a "no point" ticket for going 25 over, he is probably right, but your rates wil still skyrocket because the insurance co will know how fast you were really going.
I have represented dozens of clients on traffic tickets, and only had one ticket end up on the client's driving record. They all paid a fine, but only one went on the record. The "ppoint" system used by the Secretary of State or DMV is just a reason for the insurance companies to charge more. If oy have a clean record, you can normally keep it clean. But once it gets dirty, it is harder to keep things off the record.
Good luck.

it does not matter if you were parked or not, it's still a noise voilation. If by fighting the ticket you mean simply appologizing and requesting what you should do to prevent the problem and how you can not get in trouble again than by all means fight. But your not getting out of this ticket.
in california CHP will pull you over just for having tinted windows, it happens all the time. and that is a 135.00 fine, im not sure if anyone mentioned tinted window is not longer a fix it ticket, its a moving violation. that is why the heavy fine.....
It all depends on the officer that is the one that pulls you over, his mood, your reaction. And word of advice, cops dont like young kids in flash loud cars. As you know CHP is getting more aggressive with modified vehicles, and if you drive a modded car your chances of getting pulled over no matter who you are are going up.
and remeber how you used to be able to show up in hopes the officer does not show? well in california atleast now they are required to go to court, if they dont they can get in alot of trouble, so that plan wont work, my advice..........pony up the cash, dont waste you time on a chance it might get thrown out by showing up, and turn your radio down.
