Yea, I think "goth" in this case incorporates a far larger body of work. Grab some of zombies suggestions, I think they'd be pretty well suited for your son.

Well, due to my child not urging me to load his MP3 player as much as he was, I haven't got a lot done in the way of downloading. I did get all The Cure songs though as I hope he really likes them, lol. Lets see (I have to actually look) I got some Evenescence, Nightmare Before Christmas (I used to own this CD), some Pink Floyd (I figure it's sort of basic music experience to know Floyd AND he's got a lot of space in that thar mp3), Outcast (because he really likes his music AND his cartoon, lol) and some AFI.

I do need to look at some other bands mentioned here soon and get going on the MP3 player. I still appreciate all your help, I'm just being slow.

Oh, we're trying to decide if metal spikes (to embellish clothing, back packs, cloth in general) can be goth right now, lol. I say they're fine... husband disagrees... kid is confused as part of his growing up means defiantly not liking anything we like... so he's torn on which view to disagree with, lol.

That's awesome... I hadn't thought that the whole "rebellion" aspect played into that. It's tough rebelling if your parents are helping you along the way. Good Luck Jenna!

Exactly, lol.

I told him that there's nothing cooler than having your mother help you develop your look, lol.

Floyd = \m/
I'd maybe wait a little while before showing him The Wall (the movie). That $hit gives me the heebie jeebies everytime I watch it.

Sounds like a good layout so far though.

I don't know what \m/ is, lol. And I'm not showing him The Wall, I hate you for even thinking I needed to be told that, lol.

Pink Floyd is awesome. And The Beatles... I should put some fundamental Beatles songs on his MP3 player too. I know, I'm losing the Goth theme but I ought to form good music habits early, lol (not to say whatever the hell... Slip Not isn't great... just not exactly music that has withstood the test of time).

Haha, sorry, \m/ Is online text for your hand holding the index finger and pinky up (like at rock concerts). Just trying to say that pink floyd is awesome.
