Picked up GT5 today, don't even bother trying to go online yet. The servers are completely clogged and it will hold up every menu it seems for 5 minutes or longer.

Offline, I was browsing the used cars, and saw an '03 xA. After looking at the complete car list, the '03 xB is in it as well. Currently the prowd owner of an '03 Flint Mica xA and hoping the xB comes up on the used lot soon. The numbers seem to be BS though, a stage 3 turbo only gives 128 HP. I would think it would make 150+ as the Greddy can make 130+ w/ intercooler with stock airbox, exhaust, and internals.

Anyone else have it yet? Seems solid, though a bit of a letdown after a 4+ year wait.

 

i got it wed night. i saw the xa in the used car list but have not bought it yet. im little disappointed they dont have the TC in it. the graphics are nice replays are sick. take off the tracking control and driving aids..10x better. what was ur first car?

 

They're all Standard cars, so no changing of the wheels or cockpit view. Dissapointing considering that Forza has all of their cars detailed, which is 500+, and more customization. I'd thought with this being on a Blu-Ray they'd def go all out. I got the Collector's Edition on Wed., trying to get my licenses out of the way to enjoy the game more. Regarding online play, I've read that doing a private race will eliminate the connection issues if you want to go that route. Top Gear test track FTW though, I'm hooked on taking my cars out on there.

 

There are 200 Premium cars and 800 standard cars. The Premium cars are 30x better looking than anything found in Forza. They did an update to open the enhanced simultaneous online connections. They will be updating a lot in the few weeks coming into Dec. I imagine it will update cars that were otherwise Standard only with a Premium version of that. I love watching the replays with the camera on the Hood/roof position. The track looks so freaking Life like it's ridiculous.

I'm at work right now, close and turn around to open in the morning. Have an IS-F that I just did some power mods, and threw some coilovers on, picked up a couple of Skylines(R34) that I have yet done anything, have my starter EK that I plan to build on(just has an exhaust upgrade). What about yourself?

 

I have the Chrome Line of cars (Collectors Edition gift), The GameStop gift cars (Maclaren F1, GameStop Nascar), FT-86 and some others. Bout 25-30 cars right now.

Just posted on rhythmsmoke thread on the FI SECTION. I'll post here to for a game that has been in the making for 5 years I wish they had the tc they have other makes of the scion kinda disappointing. Two other things bug me to the shadows look bad. All jaggy and when your in the in-cab view when you look into the mirror the buildings like low rendering and very flat.

 

^x2 on the jaggerific shadows, with the premium cars looking sweet a look at the road you see one ____ed up ___ shadow kills it. 5 years, where did that time go. Also, where are the BRAKE upgrades?!? If I put all the power upgrades on, now I need to be able to control it, and they want this done with factory brakes?

 

i hate how you cant change the rims on used cars. my R33 would look sexy with some wheels. i like the new car line but the old line kind of sucks in graphics. got all my licenses now just need to upgrade my driving level. im at 17.
