Guitar Hero 2: 80s Encore - TOMORROW
I hope those of you GH people are aware that this comes out tomorrow...
Best Buy was advertising it in the Sunday paper for $40 (just the game, obviously). I know I'll be going to pick it up after work. Who else?

Ya, but the songs will probably all be released on Live for the 360... or that's what they should do anyways.
Now if my PS2 will just stop being a _____ and work, I'll be all set.

So of course BB was sold out by the time I got there after work. Had to pay another $10 at Target next door. Oh well.
Overall, it's disappointing but fun. There are no bonus tracks to buy in the store. When you finish the 30, you finish the 30 and you're done - well, except for the different levels of course.
My brother and I played through Medium (skipped easy) in Career mode in about 2.5 hours. All 5 stars on the first try except for one (next to last song I got 4 stars but got 5 on the second try). No less than 95%.
Some of the songs are pretty fun. Nothing REALLY stuck out as a great song to play. And there were some lame songs. Of course that was only on Medium... so there were a few that have more potential for harder levels.
But I think the IGN and other game ratings are pretty close... most were around 7/10 or so. Still fun though since it's something different.

yup i wasn't even going to buy it until i saw that deal. plus it was the same day it came out. its nice to play a few 80's songs, esp when friends are over and were hanging out to jam on the 80's tracks too.
