Default Helio......

Well my contract with Sprint is about to end in July and Im thinking of going with Helio. Although I never had any problems with Sprint and my Samsung A900 (minor but fixable tech probs though), its time to move on to smaller and better phones, haha.

Helio plans remind me of Metro PCS but a whole lot better. Any of you guys have a Helio? Hows the service/reception/customer service?

Helio uses Sprint's network for service (and falls over to Verizon where there's weak Sprint service). So that probably won't change for you.

I'll be ordering an Ocean in about 2 weeks as soon as my Verizon contract is up. I can't wait. $65/mo for 500 min, free nights/weekends, unlimited txt/pics/web/data! Can't beat that. Plus the Ocean is sexy.

It's cheap, but the coverage is kinda spotty. I don't know if you guys road trip, but having no cell coverage isn't exactly a good time.

Ya, all depends on where you are. I'm willing to give them a shot though if anything to get away from Verizon's crippled/crappy phones.

I wouldnt recommend helio. I tried them out, canceled the service and returned the phone and to this day they keep on trying to bill me..... I canceled within my 30 day "try out" period. I didnt mind having to pay for what I used, I didnt expect it to be free, but they want me to still pay for usage.... For that reason go with anyone BUT helio

The iPhone is certainly sexy and was my first choice, but I just won't be able to swing the $500 right now - not to mention no word on the plan pricing. I don't think AT&T is too well known for affordable data plans. Then again, I'll be paying $300 for the Ocean anyways... but I do think I'll like it and the plan a little more.
