I sold my amp over craigslist, and he sne tme a money order for $850 when the amp was only $220. He wrote to me saying that he sent me the wrong money order, and and to just take out the $220 for the amp and send the rest back through western union. Now i sent he the money and he said he was going to have a shipping company come and pick it up but nobody ever came. Today he took back the $850 money order from my account! He basicly took $850 from me. What can i do? How do i get my money back? I so ____ing ____ed off right now!!!!!!!

 

did you not see the 10,000 warnings posted by Craigslist about this exact scam? They put them right on their website, practically on every page.

but the thing is first commerce accepted the check and then denied it. the lady said it was a fake check. I said then why did you guys accpet it in the first place. She said idk you have to talk to the guy that sent you the money.

Holy jebuz...I had the exact same email sent to me through Craigslist.....I thought it was kinda fishy when he said he wante to buy the "item"...he never described the item...he also said that he lives in Florida and that his movers would pick it up aswell....I replied, cash up front only and never heard from him again....I think I still have the email some where

You lost the amp, AND sent out $630. You then had $850 taken back from you.
You spent $630+$850 and a amp + shipping.. . Holy crap..
Plus, you now have to work to replace that whole amount, and you just break even..

wow.. Honestly, id call my local police, then call the address's local police department you think it went to. This is over $500 and should be a felony, people shouldnt be able to just f'in get away with this. There should be enough backround info id hope, to nail this S.O.B.

if he would not have sent the 650 he'd have been ok I suppose...but he sent the 650, so even when the bank takes BACK the 850 he's still out the 650
