1. It's sad that the person in white (around 34 seconds) walked out there to see what happened and then turned around and left.

2. He was jaywalking.

Another video on youtube said the guy was paralyzed and not a single person called 911.

Studies have proven that the more people around, the less chance someone will attempt to be a hero and help. Society today is ____ed up.

That's what I meant. There was 25+ people walking around on the sidewalk, PLUS 10+ cars drove by. Atleast 50 people in view, and not one did anything. In today's society, if it was less than 5 people, someone would have stepped up and tried to do something about it.

i've been concerned about this trend for a while now. people insulate themselves from what goes on around them. i was waiting in line to vacuum my car at the corner convenience store, and the lady in front of me had everything, including her purse, on top of her car. i looked up and saw a young guy on a cell phone walking closer to her car, so i opened my door, and sure enough, the guy grabbed the purse and ran. i instinctively took off after him as fast as i could go, but i didn't have shoes on. i was wearing flip-flops, which were in my car still. i chased him through a neighborhood yelling at people to stop the thief, and everyone, including bigger guys, just kind of stood there watching. i was so ____ed that they could have stopped him easily. i finally stopped after he jumped a fence and got into a waiting car. i didn't really want to mess with whatever weapons they had in that car. i couldn't believe people would just stand there looking instead of doing something to help.

sometimes it has a lot to do with the demographics too. Sadly, people in urban or innercities and even out in rural areas tend to turn a blind eye or feel it's not their responsiblity and someone else will do it.

Isn't there a good samaratan law in the United Kingdom? Maybe it is time to have a law like that in the United States.

If it is true that not one person called 911, then that is wrong. What's more important? A human life or being late for work.

To whom ever was on that street at that moment: You people disgust me. A poor man is lying there in pain, and no one did anything?

It breaks my heart to see something like that. My sympathy to the person's family.

I saw this on the news Friday. It's really sad to see that no-one even cared or did anything. They just kept walking by this poor guy like it was normal! I hope they catch the idiot who did this! And i hope eveyone is ashamed of not trying to help. Not 1 single 911 call came in about this. There were plenty off ppl on their phones, but no one could call 911???

Here's the news report clip, chances are if you've seen the vid, you clicked on the related stories too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSEMA...eature=related

It's just shameful. My brother looked over to see what the heck I was lookin at and he was shocked also. It looked like sort of a car chase he said, I'd might have to agree.
