I saw that, but its not really brewing - you're just mixing pre-made barley/malt, etc. There's no mixing involved, or adding your own ingredients. Seems cool, but seems too much like instant mashed potatoes - add water, milk, stir & voila!

I've heard of this happening too. It has something to do with prepping the bottles before you put the beer in them and pop them in the fridge. I can't remember what it is though.

That being said, I've had many friends try, and all failed miserably. It makes okay beer at best. At that point, I'd rather just go to the liquor store and skip the making part.

I got the Mr.Beer kit for Christmas. I like it. Came with the brewing keg, plastic bottles, and ingredients to make your first batch. Hardest part is the waiting. I like it cuz it's the most simplest way to make your own beer and to get you started into making your own brew. That plus the brewing keg makes 2 gallons at a time, which is nice so you can try out different brews and your not stuck with a 5-6 gallon batch of bad beer if something goes wrong.

What's also great is that they offer a ton of different style beer kits you can brew. Something equivalent to many of the popular labels out there up to their own version of a barely wine. They also offer alot of other additional hops n whatnot to help you to get into the right direction when you start tweeking your brews. The kit I have retails for about $50, but they usually have the delux kits for as low as $30 around Christmas at Bed, Bath, n Beyond.

They offer everything on their site. Kits, extra fermentors, refill packs, recipes, and accessories.

There's even a forum to chat with other brewers and see what they're doing with their recipes n whatnot....Even how to make your beer have more of a kick to it

I need to get myself some glass bottles n caps so i can get back to brewing up acouple of more batches.....I got alittle off course n have gottin into making my own 100+ proof Limoncello.

You should be fine. It's really simple. I'm definitly going to be using the kit to make afew more batches of their stuff and use it as a learning experience and build myself up to doing the real deal.

Beer. Fun to make, Fun to drink. Lol.
