Default Hostel....

Whose going to see this movie? I have been anticipating this one for weeks now and the more previews I see the more I want to see it. I really hope it is not a let down like Wolf Creek was (horrible movie). I read in an article there were a few people that had an ambulance called for them because they suffered complications while watching the movie. I remember even hearing something about it mentioned on one of the commercials. I really hope this one is worth the money, I plan to be right there on friday!

All I have to say is, if you haven't seen the trailer, go check it out on moviefone.com....

Ill have to wait until next week to see it. Sadly I'm working a friday double, saturday double, and a sunday double at the restaurant this week. In other words, no free time whatsoever

lol...yea, I thought I saw something though that said it was based on true events, or was that just me? I could be totally confusing that with another movie.

Ok I researched it and I was right.....

Eli Roth Leaves 'Cabin' for 'Hostel'
Eli Roth promises his latest project, 'Hostel', will be 'wild', 'ultra violent', 'sick' and 'disturbing'.
March 10 2005

'Cabin Fever' director Eli Roth has announced his next project: a 'wild, ultra violent horror film' entitled 'Hostel'.

The production is two weeks away from principal photography (which will take place in Prague) and Jay Hernandez, star of 'Torque' and 'Ladder 49', has been cast in the lead.

The exact details of the story are currently under wraps, although Roth says the script is based on events he has been researching, plus (more worryingly) personal experiences of several horrific events he has witnessed.

Quentin Tarantino was on Jay or Conan or something. I honestly get them mixed up when I'm flippin channels. I swear he was jacked up on something, that guy is a freak, almost on the Crispin Glover level...

He said he's been doing more "warning people away from it" than promoting it. He said it is really gory. He also revealed that what is a Hostel from one side is a place where the thugs, mobsters and sickos go when they want to see what it's like to kill someone...

Hope that doesn't spoil anything. I figured not since it was on national tv...

I have no interest in these movies and don't really like much of Tarantino's work in general, but I must say he was very passionate about it which is usually a good thing.

I'm into the sick and twisted type of things....not that I condone this activity in real life...that's just sick. But in a movie I can tolerate it. The crazier the better, atleast for me.

lol Chillaxin, I saw Wolf Creek last night. It was so bad. My friend and I were the only 2 people in the theater. Luckily, the theater I went to is having some sort of special where tickets are only $6 instead of the usual $10 so I don't feel as bad about going.

Hostel does looked wicked good.

I also saw a trailer for a movie about dead people trapped inside your computer or something, it looked pretty creepy too.

I haven't seen a really good scary movie since 28 Days Later that came out a few years ago. Love that movie!

yea I seen that preview too, I'm thinking about that one also. Love a good scary movie, although most of them have been total crap lately. I really didn't care for 28 days later, I mean the concept was good but I didn't like the quality of the film as a whole. I thought it looked cheaply made. I did like the zombies though, and wished they had done more with them, I think I would have liked it much better.

The ultimate movie for me this year is definitely going to be Final Destination 3. I love both the first and second ones, can't wait for #3!

Both Tarantino and the other guy were on Philly radio yesterday. They both said that they were just sitting around Ts place and were tossing sick and twisted ideas off each other. They had heard of this "hostel" thing in Europe and did some investigation. They said that some of the movie is based upon true events, while others were right out of their own sick minds. They specifically mentioned the scene with the pruners on the girls toe. It was actually first thought of using a large bolt cutter.

Im thinking that i need to see this, just cause Tarantinos flicks are usually off the hook. I cant wait, but i dont think that the GF will make it through the entire movie. We shall see.

yup I think it comes out in March, you can look it up online though. I've seen the website and I seen the preview when I went to go see King Kong. It has something to do with a rollercoaster this time.

I just got home from this movie. Its was soso, not near what i had it hyped up to be. But it was worth the 7 bucks to see it.

Decently bloody and pretty funny at times, lots of naked girls too. So it had all the horror movie requirements.

^^I agree, it was a really good movie but I thought it was going to be way more graphic at times then it was. Worth the money, lots of killing and hooters galore! I almost thought I was watching soft **** for a minute. For the guy that is skeptical about seeing this cause it was from the director of Cabin Fever, no worries with this one, it was way better than that movie. It really is a decent flick, I don't think I'd pay to see it again, but it was worth it the first time around.
