Hey everyone, well im just curious, how long do ya'll think your gonna keep your xB, tC, xA, or xD apart of your "fam".. when i say that, i mean when will the moddin stop, and "grow old" for you? when will the time be that you just get bored, and move on, dont want to MOD your Scions anymore? ....

Post those answers

Not sure if this question has been asked before, if it has, than im sorry, but I would like to know

I plan on keeping Vanilla (my Polar White xB Classic) until her little wheels fall off.

There is no new replacement vehicle on the US market at this time.

i allready thought about selling my box because i need a diffrent car.i plan to move back to kc and really need a 4wd or awd vehicle there but im still very attached to her(box) and i also only owe about 4,000 and i own it so the way everything is going right now im sure she wil be in the family for a long time even if she just sits in a garage and becomes a sunday driver,,,

Planning to keep the tc forever, by the time I'm done with it, it'll be too much work done to it to let it go. I can't see how people put so much nice stuff/work into their cars and just to see it part out/sold.

i've already decided that i'm not spending anymore money on modding my tC. it's paid off, so i'm going to keep maintaining it as best i can and hope that it lasts for another 10 years or so. in the meantime i'll keep putting money away for a house.

I don't plan on getting my scion for my kids or anything, but I know what vehicle my son or daughter is getting when they turn 16 and need a car.

tc's will be dirt cheap in 20yrs when its time to buy a car for my future kid, lol

I bet by then they'll be so popular with aftermarket you'll be seeing 12second all motor tc's that you can buy parts for next to nothing

as soon as the economy changes a bit I am either gonna buy a Cube, Soul or Mini Clubman...unless Scion comes out with a worthwhile vehicle...as of now Scion offers me nothing I would buy unfortunately...

^^yeah, i was thinkin on the Cube also..but i love my xB...but having it for 3 years..i need alittle bit more "zip" to a car.. and alot more aerodynamic for sure...dont get me wrong, the cube looks semi-sweet but it just doesnt have that "spunk" to it that the 1st gen xB does..and it doesnt give me the same feeling i had when i first got my B haha

I have recently come to an understanding that I will alwas want more power, 4 wheel drive, better highway gearing, etc....lots of cars do these easily

I will never find another BOX or anything that has all the little things I love about it so I am keeping it and just living with those little things. I will continue to mod it and just love driving it but I will do something else for my speed fix (drag style old vw on the plate now).

While I was coming to the decision that I wouldn't ever be as happy with anything as much as my BOX here is where I travelled

-Mazda 5=nice room, more power, drove it 20 miles and my leg and hips hurt so bad from the seating position I took it back)
-Scion xb Gen 2=I love these too but it just doesn't feel like the 1st gen and I would miss that feel a whole lot even with a quiter, faster ride and more features
-VW mk5 GTI/GLi=I love the GTI (a four door) probably the closest runner up ( I have always been a VW person)-weird as it was I didn't like the GLI at all
-Scion xD=great car, just didn't feel right, just couldn't get comfy
-Mazda 3=value, features, room-if there was no box this would be right up there with the GTI
-Mini=spunky and fun, but repeated problems at the dealer with the transmissions and BMWs are falling apart right now (lots of warranty issues) and there isn't nearly the room (and I just am not a fan of the clubman's styling)
-Suzuki SX4=tight contender for so many reasons-just not surew about the looks and the resale in case
-Cube=slower, less room-really cool though

About 2-3 more years, at max. I got her in 2005, and she'll be paid off at the end of this year. I'll be graduating from medical school in 2011, and I'll move up to the next step in "sports car." I'll either try to swing something big, or go with more economical power... think 135i, STi, or base (430hp) corvette... cars in the $35K range, slightly used a plus.

I've always "liked" my tC, but I can't honestly say I've ever "loved" it. I know this is blasphemy to a lot of people here, but when I bought it, it was sort of my second choice to an RSX-S. I've learned to never go with second choice, you'll never be happy.

My girlfriend will be buying a new car in the next month or so, so I'll be test driving cars with her. She's got the same taste I do, but she's already got her "real" salary. She wants a 370Z.

I'm actually starting to feel like I want "something else". I've been wanting a more larger "family" vehicle, so I've been eyeballing an '07 or '08 Chevy Tahoe LTZ or maybe even an '07 or '08 Armada. I'd still need an "everyday" car. That's where a G35X Sedan comes in...
