ive seen this before.. the shock mount actually gave out first..

 

struts blow the easiest , then upper mounting plates , or mounting bolts then springs.

 

I've been on hotchkis with stock springs for almost 2 years and no problems. How do you know if one has blown?

 

C. did u mess yours up? i blew mine in a month after droping the car (S-Tech) driving in Hollywood over a path-hole.

You will blow out your bed springs before your struts. Oh crap, that reminds me, I have to go bed shopping today....

 

I haven't had any problems with my struts, but I did blow out my O-ring today. Must've been the Thai food.....

you know, for all the times people have said strut tower braces do nothing, maybe this is what they were built for, keep the mounting plates from braking before the strut does! lol.

I only own hard beds

btw now when i take slight dips the wheel well cover (sp?) hits the tires. they have been broken in. That or my older sis and her bf did. I mean just by sitting there, pervs

 

Yeah my front left wheel cover is tapping the tires on occassion.
