they had a goliath birdeater on sale at the pet store i normally go to (it's the one that was on an episode of Rob and Big Prehistoric Pets)....I was gonna get it but it was $350 or something

about the camel spider pic: there is 2 spider on each other and they look like they are huge but they arent that big as the guy's leg behind the spiders.

LMAO here's another from a spider I caught in my backyard one day (still the same page hopefully after I post it )

i dunno, some sort of orb weaver. it was a _____ and didn't want to eat anything that i threw in the jar with it...probably b/c it couldn't spin a proper web.

They're all over the place at Disneyland....if you go during the autumn season, Disneyland is literally infested with these massive spiders. They make huge 5 ft. webs going from light pole to light pole. Pretty crazy.

Ohhhh....here for the squeamish....I trailed the spider back to it's nest, got it, and smashed all the babies. Then smeared them on my cement. whoops

 

ummm....i don't really remember, i think i was trying to put it in the cup so that we could hold him...that didn't work out too well as you can tell.

There was only one time we attempted to pick him up and hold him. That was before we did research on the spider and foudn out how aggressive he was.

The one time we held him he jumped off my hand, onto the couch, then started running like a bat out of hell jumping from couch to coffee table to floor, etc. It took us about 15 minutes of moving furniture around and trying to catch it with cups before we got it back in the tank :\

It's too bad he committed suicide....I was waiting for him to molt a few more times and grow bigger then I was going to have a survival of the fittest battle between him and my other tarantula....never panned out

 

thats the spider u found? wtf! thats effing crazy id be scared sh*tless if i ever saw those things. so u found the spider and let him go cause he wouldnt eat? and those lil babies i would hate seeing that sh*t too

Have you guys seen the video of the camel spider and mouse? It's all in nightvision I think and they are in a bucket (just so you know which one i'm talking about)...you can hear the mouses skull being crushed by the camel spider...it's CRAZY!
