Default I need some help with my iPod Video.

Ok, I just got my xB and I went out and got the new 30 gig iPod Video to utilize the AUX socket in the center console.

My proble is I have converted my DVD's on my computer to mp4 format like iTunes and Quicktime ask for and I still can't drag and drop them into iTunes. What am I doing wrong?

Anyone that can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Videora. That program claims to convert files for use with iPods.

doesn't iTunes convert them for you? i guess not?
I know quicktime can convert them for me (there is an iPod export setting) but I have pro and I am not sure it is on the stardand quicktime app.

but i think that if iTunes can play it, so can the video iPod. I have used .mpeg, .mov, .m4v, and .mp4, and they all worked fine.

then again just having the right extension means nothing if the audio/video are not encoded right.

I would say to make sure all the settings are correct, and if that still deosn't work, try another app.

btw, im using a Mac, so some stuff may be different between us if your using windows.

how are you trying to import the videos into iTunes? When I first tried to drag-and-drop my converted videos into iTunes it wouldn't allow me to do it in the video window if i was viewing the videos in the thumbnail view. I had to either swith to the "list view" or drag the videos into the Music Library before they showed up in my videos section. hope thats not too confusing...

On a side note, what version of videora are you using? I havent upgraded mine in a few weeks but it seems that any program/movie i encode thats over a half hour, it throws off the audio/video synchronation...

I hate when that happens! but yea, there are stand alone apps that can re-sync the audio for you.

actually I'm lucky for now, the "bundle" of apps I am using right now do very well with keeping it in sync.
