Since when does a corporation being a monopoly mean that they are trustworthy and reliable? I'm sorry, but I don't have a single friend who doesn't use a PC but they will all say that Microsoft software is notorious for being buggy and having numerous security holes. And we are Microsoft software users with no connections to the company. Thus a pretty objective opinion. Mozilla has done great because they listen to what people want and are open-source.
So, whatever happened to Netscape?

IE7 is better for security? I do not think so. IE is the predominant web browser so, strike one, most hackers program viruses for IE. (like Windows vs. Mac)

Firefox tells you if you go to a website that is a suspected forgery, which IE might finally be doing.

Security in general, both web browsers support secure connections and such. Between the two, there really is no security risk with either anyways.

People get viruses and get money stolen because they click on the "free **** and baby ducks" link and let the random .exe file download and run it thinking it is okay, and then continue to write in their credit information including social security number for this "free" stuff.

As long as you be smart, either one will work fine. For me, I only use IE7 to do windows updates. I have run Firefox for 2 years now and have yet to get a virus, though my antivirus helps kick butt too. There are so many more options and add-ons for Firefox as well. If you have websites that work well on IE only, you can even run IE in a Firefox tab for that sight only.

Firefox FTW.

Firefox is a fad?

I voted for Firefox. Not just for loading pages much faster than IE but for the add-ons, especially Adblock and Filter Set G. You know the ad on the top of the page on SL or any other ad on any other web page? I haven't seen them in years. Also, I can chose to not see any specific image... I've done that to a few avatars and signatures in this board and others.

I just noticed the ad on top of the page disappeared! :D

Firefox is cool. I just started using it yesterday so there's more surprises to come.

How about add-ons? What add-ons do you recommend?
